First of all, if you are a new member and reading this, congratulations. If you are not it's good you are reading this anyway. (adds to my personal happiness :p)

The 1000 Stickies:
SRL Member News
  • Lowering the Threshhold for SRL Members! Read before pushing no… - WT-Fakawi
  • Reminding us of what to look for in possible new members, as the requirement levels have raised a lot, making it too hard to get in, and for the wrong reasons.

What is the attitude of the applicant? This is for me, and it should be for you too, the most important quality.

Is this a persistent junior? Has he/she learned from his last appliance? If he/she has….push yes next time.

We were all nobodies once. See the pride in the script. Look at all the blood and sweat it took to finally push "Submit New Thread".

  • BH Transfer List - N1ke! (SRL Member, but yellow looks horrible.)
  • Pretty dead now, started by N1ke, stickied for convenience. Used to be to organize a group of people who would help you transfer your goods from one account to another. Maybe if you post there someone will still be up for it.

  • All SRL Members must read - Hobbit
  • Reminding us of forums rules. Happened after an incident of annoying flashy avatars.

Some of you believe just because you are an SRL Member that you won't be infracted for breaking the rules. Well as it turned out some of you just learned that is not the case. Just because your name is yellow it does not mean you are in and infraction free zone. Now that's not to say there isn't less leniency for SRL Members then Jr Members and Registered Users, because there is, but that doesn't mean you can do anything you want.
But if you got up to reading this, you most likely have a clean slate. Just keep it that way.

  • SRL Member linguistic usage. - Wizzup?
  • Telling ALL SRL Members to take care with their language. Meaning not to be rude and insulting, not to curse out and flame people. Happenned after a rather disastrous application, not the pride of any member. If you would like to read it, check it here If you would just like a quick overview for Wizzup's reprimand:

Oi … go fuck your self kid. Dont shit around with SRL Members fucker.
^ Personal favourite. Rather self explaining why staff wasn't too happy :( But it's got a lot better since.

SRL Improvements
Lots of stickies, will only mention main one.
  • SRL Development Section. - Wizzup?
  • Just explaining the section. Have you ever looked through SRL Pub SVN? Very similar, only this one came first. Inside of SRL Improvements you also have SRL Test Corner, which is just like Public Test Corner but with usually more advanced functions and only SRL+ can read.

SRL Member Tutorials
  • This Forum. - Wizzup?
  • Explaining this section of SRL Members. All tutorials about SRL and Scar should be public, this forum is to share with other members other kind of information, such as how to transfer goods in different ways, and other useful (usually RS related) information that you would like to tell other Members about, but not the whole community.

Appliances !
  • Read Before Voting… - BenLand100
  • Benland, explaining some good reasons to vote yes or no, a must read for all new members thinking of voting!
    From: Vote Yes For:

    1. People with good attitudes
    2. People who are willing to contribute
    3. People scripting with the SRL include
    4. People following SRL guidelines - Multiplayers, breaking out of potential infinite loops, Antirandoms, Antiban, good scripting standards etc.

  • A Request for you members that vote. - n3ss3s
  • If the application does not have a script or has a "hello world" level script do the following:
    1. Explain that you need a script to apply with
    2. Explain the requirements
    3. Link them to the official requirements thread
    4. Report it to a moderator - (you know where the rep button is? right next to it there is a red cross. click there.)

  • Questions about voting - Hobbit
  • Hobbit answering the most common questions from new voters. Make sure you read it, as some important information is posted there.

Q: When should you be allowed to vote?
A: You should not vote on applications as soon as you get into SRL Members. Wait a couple of weeks and see how others are taking the applications and learn.

And that's the end of the long list :) I hope it helps you getting settled in all the faster, and once again, congratulations.

ok, so you compiled all the stickies ;p. Although, it will be useful for people who dont wish to troll through the forums looking at them all.

This thread will be great if people notice it. Big combinations of stickies here.

I must be honest, when I first got SRL Members I did get a little bit "overly confident" think that I was now very highly ranked and that I had diplomatic immunity or something, and I've learnt from that, so I hope people can learn from this.

Perhaps when mods/admins lock the thread and say welcome on an application they should post a link to here.

Here's another example you could add to the 'linguistic usage' portion.

The 3rd sticky has a wrong link, you put the same one as to the one above it.

Good job in the rest though, although I don't see why we can't just recommend all new members to look through all the stickies when they get in. But a thread summing them all up doesn't hurt either.

I find yelling at fags who fail at reading stickies more fascinating.
