well, i was just looking at public SVN for the first time. Most of the action for SRL being developed (outside of dev's forums) goes on there, and SRL Development in members section is rather dead. I still posted there a few times cus i hadn't take th time to look at the public svn thing :p
So i'm thinking, can't all members just use the Public svn / make a topic there when they want something added / fixed as everyone else? SRL Development is kind of useless atm.

Why not? Why can't the "SRL New Functions" section be renamed to fit both? In case someone makes something that they don't want to be released publicly.

is it really necessary? SRL development is quite dead, and Public SVN is the exact same idea, non-devs helping develop SRL. You *might* be coming from a point of view were members would like to have their own development of srl part, because there are just things we like to keep in higher ranks (eg sudoku), but I would have to disagree, because many members contribute to the Public SVN and seem to have no problem doing so. In fact, they even seem to preffer to post it there because it gets more feed back from the community. I am not in any way saying Devs are not paying attention to SRL Development. Very much the contrary as the answers there are usually quite fast. But Public SVN just reaches a much broader audience of enthusiastic scripters, such as Junior Members, leading to more feedback :p
and besides, i think that whichever function might be made that members want feedback on but only srl+ they still have SRL New Functions (which when i joined members i thought was where devs would pick new functions made by users from).
I think that SRL should have their own test corner.
The only thing that i think should be changed is SRL Development, because Pub SVN just seems to be having much more success, more interaction between Devs - Members - JM, and because there seems to be no prejudice from members. After all, if you want something in SRL Include you don't really mind showing it to others, because in the end if it does get in everyone will see it anyway.

I think we should merge these 3. I have mentioned it before in Staff section but nothing really came of the discussion. But we need atleast one forum of that type that is members only.

I'd suggest maybe one a a time, as too much change too fast may cause unrest :p
In my mind i still see the Test Corner as something where untested/unfinished funcs/procs go, and SRL New Functions just has the finished products. Might be easier to keep it organized. But definitely something to consider.
Also:
Public SVN has a much better structure and incentives(SRL Aristocrat rank/cup, being put into SRL) to being posted in rather than SRL Development.
(Maybe the Rank Aristocrat in itself should be changed, but already being discussed elsewhere)

I mean make those somewhat subsections of 1 section.
Like have the test corner and the new functions and additions etc but all inside 1 section, instead of having 3 separate sections.

That is why I thought it was strange to have 3 forums for the same purpose really. I think its better to merge SRL Development and SRL New Functions with SRL Public SVN. The SRL Mem Test Corner and Public Test Corner can remain separate as it is.

Tutorials and library seem like aa good idea; when tutorials was created i had asked Wizzup to make a forums where we could post small tuts, but the things i had posted had been moved from library because they weren't really about a function in srl.
(i had made a "tut" comparing which things were faster in which cases); i had actuallyasked for the description of library to be changed so that it would fit both. And the things in the library are tuts indeed. tuts to a certain function just like i made a tut about FindObjTPA or Respond and posted it in itermediates. So i do think it should be merged.
Nice job on SRL Improvements :)
and i think the mods of SRL Development should definitely be mode of the whole SRL improvements. I think they've shown to be good mods and they are an authority of coding in our community :p

SRL Library - Small Tuts about SRL-Functions in here…
Shouldn't that be merged with Tutorial Island. The threads in there are just about individual functions in SRL and SCAR and I don't see why it should be SRL Mems and above only. It'll help other members too if they can access them.

I'll edit it a bit more when i get home. I didnt have much time this morning and now im rushing to get a project done but kinda procrastinating =/
Also the question of the mods was more directed for Fawk/Wizzy and rest of admin team ;)
