Just wondering whats happening? Activity seems very low. I havent seen much activity since 07. Theres less excitement and fun now.

I think it got alot less active when the big update came that stoped RWT. Idk about RWT thus im still active.

There is plenty of activity still here.

Excitement? Entertaining? If you were here more then a year back, you know the atmosphere was much different.

I honestly don't think it's that different, and I've been here longer than you have. I agree some of the more laid back people have either retired or been promoted, being forced to act more mature. Try the IRC, you may find what you're seeking there. ;)

btw we should make a goal and get about 50 scripts released in a month or so :O

Nah a quota could lead to crappy scripts.

Well, it died down when RWT was stopped because alot of people used autoing to get resources for their main. Also, it slowed down when PVP was killed, alot of people autoed pures and probably sold them or used them. But, you really cannot tell other people what is or isn't fun considering fun is differently defined towards everyone.

There was a time SRL was heavily hit by the trading limit. But now a lot of people are coming back! SRL is going PRO again ;) Scripts are getting better cause a lot of people also macro on there main now, I only say good srl member applies the last days.

About the less excitement, rock your socks and make it work yourself!

IRc takes up alot of new threads so that may drag it down a bit, other then that same good old srl-forums ;)

Well Srl-Members seems to be dull to? And yes as I was thinking the irc killed alot of activity on the forums. I hate how rsbot has so much more then srl. There community is pure shit.

And is it just me or is it getting members much easier now?
We should thinkabout what pinky said. Also its good to see old members coming back.

Oh and yes this is some sort of rant.

not really, it's been quite harsh for new members to get in,

but the last applications come in are jsut generally very good. Two of them participated in the Scripting Competition, and the other few tha have a lot of yes votes are actually good. And they are not easier, people are just looking for different things. Things which were looked for when SRL started, attitude and scripting logic rather than "you did not use RRW";

Whatsup with SRL?
I think SRL is still pretty darn active,.
We barely see leeches here any more, there is currently a strong development in anti randoms.
Reflection is also slowly becoming more stable and reliable, generating some scripts I thought never possible of making with SRL, I only see the community grow closer, becoming more and more helpful. (The community is really becoming better and better.)

True, we don't get as much new users as RSBot gets each day.
However, as you have stated most (if not almost all) are leeches. (Their name is also rather luckily chosen, no? Hit RS Bot in google.)
Also keep in mind that you have to register at their before you can view a thread.

So yea, SRL is doing fine…

I wonder sometimes… Is the Developer and Staff section more active than Member's section ? :)

well the community has gotten a lot quieter now as supposed to say… 2 or 3 years ago.

but i believe SRL is doing fine in spite of that.

If you look at the daily activity logs from when SRL first went public till now, we are A LOT more active.

Boards opened Febuary 11, 2006.

December 8, 2006 …. 10 months later we first started averaging 200 users a day

Our peak is August 19, 2008 which was 858 users logged in on one day.

Now over the last few months are DAILY activity has bee averaging around 450…… that is not bad at all…..

Also we still have 2,000+ active members according to stats. Yes, this has gone down b/c before trade update we had an active count of over 3,000 members. That is just what happens when people don't use armies as much anymore and also don't make pures much anymore.

Shit happens, the community is good, I see very little leeching and people who are just here for the pixels. They are here to piss off a company. Can any other community say they have ALMOST every random solved, and have been around for almost 3 years?
