Ok, my internet (mozilla and internet explorer) keep crashing every time I open them. Actually internet in general. my aim crashes as well. My router says everything is fine and my laptop's wifi still works pretty well. Right before it started happening I had downloaded this torrent. But I am not sure if it has anything to do with it really. Any advice? Also i had installed new RAM yesterday. not sure if that has anything to do with that either.

Take out ram and see, if that doesn't do anything then it was maybe the torrent (although I don't see how), do a system restore to before you downloaded the torrent.

Alright. I'll try that. It seemed odd that a virus would be able to affect my router though since all the computers in my area seemed to be partially affected.
The browser shuts off automatically not when i open it BUT when I start typing anywhere in the browser

That's really weird, I would say reinstall the browser but you say it's happening on all your browsers.

This happened to my sister with Firefox on her laptop, I don't know why it was happening & I didn't really care because I was going to reformat it for something else :/
Her laptop was running Vista, what is your's running?

Mine is running XP home (sadly lol) but the problem just went away, but I am trying to clear out my computer of the Trojan Rostuck-N (or at least thats what its called) but some sites are still sending me DOS denials :( meaning that the virus is still in there (I guess?). BTW I can't seem to directly access my C drive in "my computer".
I've already run one full scan of my computer and am doing another as we speak.
Is the virus that deep into my system that its affecting my access into my windows searcher?
