Iv seen a lot of people saying "look, this script is flawless"

but what is flawless to one person is Okay to another, so whats everyone opinion to a flawless script?

A flawless script seems to be any "good" script which messes up very rarely

so post your opinions,
my opinion is that it has to run for 24 or more hours

I voted no script is falwless simply because flawless means "without flaws" therefore it would have to be able to solve all anti-randoms, and run like it is supposed to for as long as the user would like. So I guess the only "Flawless" scripts would be ones that just move the mouse to a position on the screen, but that does no one any good really. In my opinion scripters should label there scripts based on the time of which they will run for( ie: 24 hours, 36 hours, a week) but not flawless.

No script is flawless, however well you make it. There is no such word as "Flawless". Nothing in life is Flawless. Everything has errors.

flaws are the beaty of the humanity - look for them and you will most often find beaty where you'd never expect it..

I think a script has to run 12-24 hours with 6 players.

No script is flawless, but if the owner has as much passion for scripting and autoing for the game, then they can make scripts that run as good as flawless. If you didn't get this post then try taking a look at Fawk's and Wizzy's scripts. They run like clockwork and this forum wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Fawk and Wizzy.

Scripts will have errors, and can become obsolete by just releasing them. I'm pretty sure Aryan would still be alive and kicking today if it was invite only, same thing should be applied to scripts. I've never really contributed as in releasing scripts, but I do make them.

I don't release them, because the way I see it, if I take an old script and salvage what I can and build on that, I can make a good script with little effort. The good thing about this, is that the scripts are old so they may have been abused and then become obsolete, but you take some bits that still work and rewrite the bits that don't so the script then works. The script might not be flawless but it will work to pretty good standards.

I think a flawless script is one that doesn't get lost.. It logs out if it's in trouble, and switch players.. That kinda makes many scripts flawless these days..

Yea failsafes. Knowing how to fix mistakes is better than never making mistakes at all.

I think no script is flawless, when you show me a script that never needs updating and can run 24/7 then I would agree and say that the script were flawless.

I chose Other.

I believe a flawless script should have…
- Many different ways of autoing such as Mining ess. Instead of constantly going the same way to Aubury, try the other way. Such as leaving from the left of the bank instead of leaving from the right.
- Totally random mouse. You know, like trying to examine random stuff.
- An AutoResponder of course. And if no one is there, and say you have been doing a certain task for 30 min or more, you start just talking to yourself.
- Mistakes! Human Error! Every human being makes mistakes. To make a "perfect" or "flawless" script, you would have to incorporate that into your script. Make it make errors, and then fix it. Such as dropping your pick by mistake or only getting 16 rune essences.
- Very user friendly. Ability to change various aspects of the script using forms.
- Logins and Logouts
- Able to run 24/7.
- Checks for as many randoms as possible and the script doesn't lag that much. A lot of scripts lag A LOT on my comp and it's fairly new.

That would be a flawless script in my opinion. :)

I think scripts should be made in 2, for example something like Fawk's RatZ script. Fight, loot, make fires and such. I'm thinking of fixing my miner up and having an option to smelt ores in lumby. It wouldn't be fast but it would still be a lot more human.

i believe a script is flawless for some time.. for example my feather buyer was flawless until RS started updating every week.. so if it runs as long as the user wants it to UNTIL it is made unflawless by RS/whatever other major factor.. then it is flawless.. so yeah theres my 2 cents

The difference between a great script and a flawless script to me is that a great script does not get lost etc. But a flawless script may get "lost" rarely, but the important thing is that it recognizes it is lost. A flawless script does not get lost, because as long as it "knows" that it is lost it can do something about it.
