This is a tutorial on how to play World of Warcraft a popular Massive Multiplayer Online RPG for free.

Step 1_: Get the WoW game and make sure it is patched up to Patch 2.4.3~(nothing higher).

Step 2_: There are many ways to run a WoW private server, but, for me i fell the easiest (least complex) way to run a WoW private server is using WowScape Server Launcher[wsl]. To download WSL please go to the following link- http://www.filefactory.com/file/a009d48/n/WSL_rar

Step 3_: Install the WSL and let it extract through WinRar or Zip etc.

Step 4_: You can add servers the the launcher so you can play on different wow servers.

Click where the arrow points for the new screen to appear/\

Fill out the server name, the ip address usually given on the server site and if north america europe etc.

Step 5_: Hit 'Launch World of Warcraft'!!

Advice_: i would play on WowScape if u are really new to this whole thing the name is ScapeGaming and the ip is login.scapegaming.com.

End_: I don't play WoW, i just thought i should post a tut. for those who actually pay MONEY for that game. If you liked this tutorial please leave a comment and rep++ me if you like.

I play WoW on private server too , but you can/must the latest patch if you want to play a server that has WotLK, I used to play on WowScape's-WoWCrack, but now it sucks, its so slow and all, now I play in WotLK server called WowWal.

Anyways , I dont think its the better place to post about WoW since it is a Runescape Community , but well…:D

Pff. Free WoW != crappy private server. And how poor do you need to be if you can't afford 15$ a month?

Some people can afford it but rather spend it on food. ^^

Most people can afford it but have decided to quit WoW because it anally raped their work at school. Like me.

True, but playing on a shitty private server will anally rape your work at school too.

Not as much since if you play on a funserver you don't have to play as much to gain levels or w.e you do in WoW.

Just pay for it, wow is rly good.

Although im rly pissed at wow, I bought these lvl 69 shoulders for 50g and when they did a update they changed the shoulders req lvl to 75, so now i cant use them, another thing when i had equipped them they became soulbound (cant be traded or sold) so now i cant sell them, so i basically threw 50g to waste.

btw im a undead mage lvl 69 on stormreaver

I don't play WoW, :p some people just want to play on a server that won't 'rape' your schoolwork. :p i forgot it was a runescape forum(lawlz), but whatever.\\Jukka = FAIL!

yes!

With 249 posts and a high activity, you forgot about it being an RS forum…

:)

I played on prvate server for 12 mins exact and after that well you find it in my bin lol but really found it boring you even though i play wow the real one i got a level 61 orc warrior and lvl 73 blood elf death knight btw i play on turlyon :D

I hate to be the one to say this, but this isn't actually a Runescape forum, if it was there would be people posting constantly about what they are selling and everything.

It's just a community where some people play Runescape and some just program, and some people that just post and chat for the people (like me ;)).

Although there is a lot of people who play Runescape here, as most people who come here come for the Runescape scripts.

Is that legal? Doesn't matter, I don't give a toot if it isn't. Anyway, I never new WoW could have private servers. That's something new.

I got a 80 Warrior, 80 Death Knight, 66 Hunter and a 56 Warlock all on Alleria. Although I'm quitting soon and coming back to runscape o.O

There's a good free server for wow located at www.scapegaming.com

This site for newcommers have an ad at front for which you need to exit before any links of the page becomes available to you (it's the thing that says "VOTE FOR US!") + a intro.

On the site, in the forums, are instructions on how to setup for their private server.
1. Follow a if you want to play both retail & private, Follow b if you just want private
a. (if you want to play both retail & private) install The Burning Crusade again in a separate folder… even if you have WOTLK too, we're just going for the 2.4.3 private server. and Dl + install patches until it is at version 2.4.3. DO NOT GO OVER THAT OR YOU'll HAVE TO REINSTALL.

b.(If you dont have the game installed) You can torrent The Burning Crusade, or just borrow your friend's CD. Install it to you computer, then DL + install patches until it is 2.4.3. Do not go over. you'll have to restart.
Note: if you have the game at a higher version, you'll have to delete the whole thing and follow b. to play just private.

2. Make a game account by clicking "server registration" on the left side of the site.

3. Now locate the file in your world of warcraft folder called "realmlist.wtf"
a. It could be located in (install default) C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data\enUS
b. OR It could be located in (install default) C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft

4. Open realmlist.wtf with something that can process words. such as "note pad", or even "Scar" =D. Now, delete ALL the code there, and replace it with
set realmlist logon.scapegaming.com

that's the scapegaming's server

5. now using the username + pass you've created at scapegaming.com, log in. Play, enjoy =D. (ALL PVP servers can support alliance & horde on one acc).

If you need visuals or additional Info. Search up "How to set up WOW private servers" on youtube.

Scapegaming have 2 main servers going on so far. one for version 2.4.3 and a new test server for 3.0.9.
(BTW, the 2.4.3 server usually has 2500 - 5500 people on at one time on anyone of their realms! depends on time of day. 3.0.9 server has 500 - 1500 on at time.)

w0w actually does make people go 'wow!'

but those people are called teachers. 'wow, ur grades r falling rapidly!'

-.-" and i'd rather spend my time/$15 on smth more interesting.
