Im at work right now so IM running on windows, but I recently installed Linux Ubuntu at home and cant get scar to run right. SCAR loads properly because I have WINE installed and use it to load it up. When i try to start the script my WINE is missing java plugins. I have tried multiple times to install java on WINE but it is not going to work. Does anyone have any idea if that will work, or if it will work if I use the U3 version of scar and just use it from there?

Did you install the JRE for Windows? WINE needs the Windows version to work instead of the Linux one that the rest of the programs that run on Ubuntu will need.

yeah, i already have java installed on the operating system itself(linux version) and i downloaded the windows version found at java.com. I opened the installer using WINE and went through the installation and at the last second an error popped up. I cant remember exactly what it is now, since im at work i cant check. something about not being able to uncompress the file or something…

I've been getting that error too. If I find something I'll post it.

Try an older version, I think I was able to get 6 update 7 to install on mine.

Yeah, ill try that once i get to my house tonight. Quick question though. Would i be able to use the U3 version because i have a u3 usb drive. Would that be compatible to work with windows and linux or would I have to specify one?
