Myself
—————————————————–
Please write down a paragraph about Yourself.

Hmm Ive played runescape for long , and been member of srl for 1 year , and I pretty much hate jagex , and well I dont like boring pointless and click-1million times skills , so I like to make things easier and also to learn more programming.

I study at Los Andes university one of the best of my country , Systems Engineering, and I am getting to 3rd Semester , ive learned a lot of Java programation and Scar as well, since I started almost at same time , I want to learn a lot more and improving my Scripting/Programming skills because it also helps my career.

I admire very much many of the scripters here , they are really skilled and I wanna learn all that and become like them.

Im also gratefull at the Scar Srl community members for doing such good tutorials to help people learning.

I donated to the site because I think its very usefull and the community members most of them are kind and very skilled people who we can learn a lot from .

Im not a Professional programmer or scripter yet , I do all that I can and im willing to learn a lot more and be very helpfull.

I think you should take a closer look at Multi Player, and check your failsafes. Until Not ExistsItem(28). Add this: or not loggedin (!)

You seem a nice guy, and the scripts shows your knowledge of SRL. (Except for Multi Player)

Yes.

Griff

2009-01-18 20:15:07

Yes, you seem to be a nice guy, but I don't think you're experienced enough to be members yet. You use a lot of co ords, which can be substituted for colour finding or dtms. You show that you have some knowledge, but I'm going to have to vote no. Sorry, and I hope to see you applying again in 2 weeks if you don't make it.

Its a no from me. The script is clean and well put together, it is just not enough (just a little to simple.) Add some sort of walking, more failsafes/antiban and you have yourself a members worthy script.

Dracody

2009-01-18 20:44:39

Omg Failsafes!! I forgot I was going to do that but oh… well is there a possibility that I can edit or something?

Im still trying to learn DTM's I tried with those but couldnt get em to work, ill get em as soon as I can make them work.

I deleted because seemed like It wouldnt find the DTM, So I rather posted a working Script :)

Also because without the DTM's It can be usefull with almost anything you want to do, and With DTM's It would be very focused on certain thing, Like I would just make it to herblore or fletch, or Id have to make lots of DTM's, well thats what I think , you are the pro's so ill listen to your recommendations

Anyways thanks for the advices Ima work on all that as soon as I can , I got back to university Tomorrow so well , Ill try my best.

Griff

2009-01-18 21:02:33

Sure, you can definitely edit your post, and update your script. If you want some help with dtms, pm me, and ill give you my msn.

Sorry, no.

@noidea: Well its not 1 Skill based , it can be used for almost anything you can think of getting together, like fletching, bows(u) with strings, herblore , Herbs with vials , then unf pots with the other materials, pretty usefull.

Dervish

2009-01-19 11:49:16

I don't like the script TBH.

Grade : 40/100

GREAT ATTITUDE.

So… I'm holding my vote.

I'll look through script again.

I'll explain DTMs for you just here :

DTMs are good for finding objects in the inventory.

The DTMs are made by a main point and subpoints.

The main point is where :

-The mouse will click if it finds the DTM and you make it click it.
-Alot more… This is a mini tut, referr to a big tut if you want more detail.

The sub points are the "repair" points for the finding.

If it finds the color at these locations from the main point, then it counts as you found your DTM.

Example :

The black point is the main point and the red ones, the subpoints.

If the "FindDTM" function finds :

-The color of the main point
-The colors of the subpoints at a certain distance from the main point

Then it has found the DTM and it will have stored the location in x,y if you use :

FindDTM(DTMName,x,y,0,0,50,50);

To make a DTM, you use the DTM Editor which can be found in "Tools" menu.

You choose the mainpoint (usually somewhere in the middle of the item) and set tolerance to :

20-40 if its just for 1 sort of item (example of gold bar).
255 if its universal, for all sorts of items with the same shape (ores, bars…)

Then, you click on the black outline of the item (which has a static color of 65573 )

And keep tolerance for subpoints at 0.

Now you go into "File" in DTM Editor. And choose "DTM to text".

A bunch of text will appear in your debug box something like :

DTM := DTMFromString('dgjls95349683943584968349863948693486938469839486348693486');

You get what I mean, like a Bitmap :).

Then you need to call that DTM :

You first declare the DTM as a variable.

Lets say I made a DTM Of an Iron ore

I declare it :

var
x,y,IronOreDTM : Integer;

Then to call it use:

IronOreDTM := DTMFromString(text from "DTMToString" in debugbox");

Then to free it (like a Bitmap, it needs freeing, it uses memory [much less than bitmaps though]) use :

FreeDTM(IronOreDTM);

To use it you could do something like, if it was a powerminer, it'd do :

If FindDTM(IronOreDTM,x,y,MIX1,MIY1,MIX2,MIY2) then
begin
MMouse(x,y,0,0);
If (IsUpTextMultiCustom(['ron','re','iron','ore')) then
begin
GetMousePos(x,y);
Mouse(x,y,0,0,false);
ChooseOption('rop');//Drop
end;
end;

I hope you understand now xD.

I'm loving your standards, probably some of the best that I have seen in a long time!

I must admit that it would have been nice to see some walking in there, but then again I got in with a non-walking script, so not changing my vote there.

The AntiBan made up for the fact that you didn't have multi-player, so I have a feeling you know what my answer is right now :)

I've also seen you around the forums alot back when I was on here, and you seem like the kinda guy whos here to learn, not to leech, so brownie points there.

My answer is… YES!

Also, on case statements, if there are sequential numbers in a single statement, then you can use the '..' operator. Ex:

case Random(14) of
0..5: DoThis;
6..9: DoSomethingElse;
11..13: TerminateScript;
end;
It reduces space greatly, and makes your code look a lot cleaner. :)

@Dr D.Dervish: Woah man , thanks a lot for the DTM tut :D I will read to improve my DTM skills , but well I didnt used em on this script for not to make it too focused , and to be able to use it for multiple things , and the usage is up to what people can think off, and I would have to make tons of DTM's , But I Will as soon as I release a new script that needs it :D. Oh well I cant expect everyone to like my work, but oh well Ill try to improve a lot to make that happen, anyways I still hold My position that I dont want to use DTM's on this script , I sure will on other thats more specific , but this can be used for multiple things up to peoples creativity. Using DTM's would take off the user's freedom of choice on what they want to join and get together.

You can be sure I know a lot more scripting than that , but I cant get everything on this script because its not needed , the only thing that I still dont understand well are TPA's and DDTM's . But will time and patience I will learn to use them well. :)
