Hehe thanks. You too, I tell everyone about your compilation. Now that I my first 3 tuts are all about improving the posts on this forum, my next ones will be about actual scripting lol.

Hey There, I browesed through this before, just re-read it and found some very useful information, I'll definately be refering some people here, rather than trying to explain the same questions repeatedly…Now if we could just get people to go back and delete the questions they had posted before actually looking around for the answers, it might make browseing through them a bit easier (this is generaly pointed towards the free scripts section, where I would estimate 70% of every post is the same general questions, answered repeatedly) Anways, just my $0.02….as far as sugestions here, the only one not covered that I have seen asked alot lately is in regards to setting up proper Nic names…….oh, and BTW, the links in #3 are dead, or inaccessible at this moment to me…. Nick is your screen name.Your RuneScape Name appears in yellow on the mainscreen whenever a Talking Random addresses you. This is what we continiously scan for (using FindTalk), and it is the heart of SRL AntiRandoms routines. Imagine your Player Name is 'qwertyuiop', you would typically use three or four letters from this name as Nick. So Player[0].Nick:='wer' or 'tyu' or 'iop', but NOT 'qwe', since First Letters Are Always Capitalised in RuneScape. It is absolutely vital to understand this concept, otherwise randoms wont work, and you will die or be banned pretty soon.

Best way to gain noob points in this area is to make a new topic about something very popular, like "WHERE TOOO G333T sRLz0rls".

You will be assigned to use search button.
How to use search button is higher level task and tutorial about that you find in my sig.

Gaining noob points not using search button is a noob level 1 skill.

Misleading Topics

Yes, making a topic of something like
" omfgz0rgna free g33p33+z for f3r333 " (notice bad leet speak to gain more points.)

and then write in the topic like "o ye wa du u lieek bout me ney siygg?"
That will definetly piss people off and you will gain lots of noob points.
And flamed to grave.

Wrong forum technique:

This is even easier than the not using search button.
Post about anything, to a forum not matching your topic, content of the topic.


Copying technique:

Simply steal someones script and claim it to be your own.
If this is done in your SRL Member application you will get nice n warm flame and a lot of noob points.
Admitting that you copied is also good, because for the embarrasment you get +2 noob points.


I am NOT encouraging anyone to do the things taught in the tutorial, but now it is easier to know if you are a crappy noob and what not to do.

When Posting, DO the following…

1. Contribute to the Community
All your posts should add something and help in some way. This can include progress reports for scripts, views on a discussion, feedback, and even humor.

2. Be Respectful
No explanation needed

3. Post in English
Please try to use English on this forum. And proper grammar is appreciated so we can understand what you are talking about. Here is a good Spell Checker

4. Search Before Asking a Question
Many questions can be answered by Google or by Tutorials.

5. Edit Your Post
If you find an error, editing you post can make it easier for us to understand.

NEW!6. Make Relevant Posts
All posts should be on topic. Make sure you read the first post and post something that is relevant to it.

NEW!7. Post Threads in the Right Section
When starting a new thread, read the descriptions of the sections first! It is EXTREMELY ANNOYING when people post threads in the wrong section.

When Posting, DO NOT do the following…

1. Double Post
Nobody likes it when somebody double posts. Its ok if it happens, but make sure that you delete one of your posts.

2. Grave Dig
Grave digging is when someone posts on an old thread, thus bumping it to the front. Always check the date on the last post of a thread before posting. If the thread is resolved or more than 1 month old, don't post. If you feel the need to comment, or have a question, pm the user (thanks smithsps).

3. Spam
There are many definitions of spamming. My definition is posting for the hell of posting. Posting long replies that repeat one sentence and posting about random things are two examples of spam. Each post you make here should add something useful (this does include humor, if not abused). You cannot become an SRL Junior Member off of spam posts.

4. Flam
Flaming is ranting or being disrespectful to other users on the forums. Just try to be nice and you'll be okay.

5. Advertise
This is a version of spam, but it deserves its own category. Don't make off-topic threads/posts advertising things.

6. Try to Sell or Buy Scripts
Everything is free here.

Your welcome. I guess its sort of ironic that I myself dont have a useful post symbol lol. I don't think they existed when I was last active (like half a year ago, but now Iv come back). I don't know if this is enough to get you the symbol, but you should by doing useful posts to get into SRL Members. Scripts aren't everything.

Hehe Ive made some usefull posts , also I made a Simple tutorial for registering at srl stats , hehe its on my signature, I think its usefull but nobody seems to like it since it just has like 1 post beside mines :( , would be cool if you gave it a look and leave a comment or something :p
