Does anyone know of a good free video editor? (something along the lines of Adobe Premiere Pro, or Adobe After Effects. i'm not saying quite that good necessarily, but with the same general intent.)

ok i'll try some sony vegas trials. in my past experiences with it, windows movie maker has kinda been a joke =p, but thanks. someone should really come out with a nice gnu video editor, the gnu community is lacking there.
