A worthless story i wrote in 30 minutes for english class.
Topic: Story based on love or valentines
Forbidden Valentine
“I LOVE IT!” “Oh good, I was hoping you would…” Rick said “Wow, how did you manage to get this necklace?” Jess asked. “Well, I saved for a bit, and decided to get it for you. Maybe we could hang out some time?” Rick implied. “Sure, just call me”
Hank stood at the drinking fountain, the heart-shaped box of chocolate crushing from his grip. He was fuming; any amount of hatred imaginable could not be compared to his hatred of Rick. Rick had teased hank since the 6th grade. Hank had always been short and chubby until recently when he hit a major growth spurt. Rick was always a bully, and would always pick on hank and his friends. They all vowed to do something to Rick, but none of them really meant it.
How could he touch her? How could he be giving her a Valentines present when Jess was destined to be his? Hank stammered away, the crushed heart intended for Jess lying on the ground.
Hank had been infatuated with Jess since the 7th grade. She was beautiful, a mere angel among mortals. He had been following her a lot lately. Hank knew her routines, habits, lots of stuff about her. How she always twirled her hair with her right index finger when she was thinking. Or, how she hummed to herself walking home from school. He even knew things no one else knew. Hank never considered what he was doing to be stalking. It was more of something he needed to do. That “something” was a big part of his life, a ritual one could say. Tonight she was going to hang out with Rick. They had something special planned from what he had heard. She had never caught him, never even realized he was there. Hank prided himself over this. He marked off every day in his journal he had got last year. Sometimes at night he would grab it from between his mattress where he stored it and study it. To study jess, what she had done, what time. Nothing else was important to him. His grades were falling and he had lost most of the friends he had. His mom had definitely noticed a change over the past year, but she figured it was just him growing into a teenager.
The cool autumn air breezed by as Hank followed a short distance behind jess. He was studying the way she walked. Gracefully, but briskly. The repetitive sound of leaves crunching underfoot was broken by the ring of Jess’s cell phone. It was Rick. Hank could tell this by the tone of her voice. It wasn’t her normal voice, more of a playful voice. She definitely liked him. How could she like that pathetic loser who knew nothing about her? He was only interested in her looks, but hank knew she was so much more. “
Okay, tonight at six? That sounds good. Yeah, I think we should watch the Notebook.” Jess said.
Millions of thoughts ran through Hank’s head. “What am I going to do? Rick doesn’t deserve her, I do. Has he thought about her for the past year? I think not. What am I doing? I deserve her.”
Hank caught up to jess and introduced himself. “Uh…H-h-hi.” Hank stuttered
“Uh… Hello, who are you?” she asked.
“I'm… Hank. Would you want to do something sometime?”
“Well, I'm sorry, but I don’t even know you.” Jess said
“Oh… right, ok.” Hank stuttered.
“Ha-ha, bye” Jess said
As she walked away Hank felt all of the last year of thinking about her slip away. He ran home and waited until six o’clock. He knew what he was going to do, and nothing was going to stop him.
He had the gun and was determined on what he was going to do. He ran all the way to Jess’s house opened the door and found Jess and Rick on the couch making out.
“WHAT ARE YOU-”Rick screamed.
A gunshot rang out through the neighbor hood before he could finish his sentence.
It was the last sentence he would ever speak. Jess stood there splattered with pieces of brain and flesh with a look of sheer awe and sadness. Hank looked into her blue eyes one last time, walked out the door and a second shotrang out through the neighborhood. The sound of blood splattering against the door and a lifeless body crumpling to the ground soon followed.
