[Open-Source] Project Genesis, coders needed

Project Genesis is an attempt to create a native interface to the RS client, it will feature both an injection and reflection loader. Once finished the project will feature a fully oop scriptable bot, scriptable in pascal and possibly other languages.
WOW SOUNDS AWESOMLY BIG :). Good Luck with it. I'm quite a delphi person maybe I can join?

Sure, there's a lot to be done, I basically provided the base to build the whole thing really, it's just a base, but it's quite a bit of work to piece it together given the very small amount of information lying around about it…
This is also a critical resource:

I honestly don't know how much I'll be able to help, due to my limited experiance with both delphi and java, but I'm guessing that there's a few jobs that I could manage if that's alright with you.
I'll join once I finish getting Members, my script will be done pretty soon I would think.

I'm basically giving out most of the development to other ppl, so it will be up to them mostly, I'll do some stuff here and there, but I can't combine this with my other projects, I have too much work on my hands… I just though the concept and idea was too good to just let it die

Alright so long ago i decided to halt development of RSBot 2 due to lack of time, however, if there is enough dedicated developers on these forums that are willing to spend their time completing it i am willing to share the source.
Just post something here to prove you know what you are talking about when it comes down to RS-Cheating.

Agree.
SCAR already has the capabilities of a Hybrid. I think a full Java bot makes more sense then a Hybrid. I understand its release on these forums for a Hybrid, since its mostly pascal on these forums… but the Java code is way more versatile and Java wouldn't take as much CPU.
I'd like to push the project forward… but we already have SCAR in a Hybrid w/ SMART, despite some of it not being open source /cough.

Username is "EvilChicken", surprise surprise.
Though it doesn't really compile for me at the moment,
raise Exception.CreateFmt('LoadLibrary failed trying to load %s', [FJVMDLLFile]);
gets called every time I run.
And also, it would be really neat of you to have "to-do"-lists for the project, as I'm not a fan of impulsively commiting random stuff I may think is useful.
And, a final question; why not host it at SourceForge? ShareSource gives me neat certificate errors that I have to allow and SourceForge is just way more used.
Edit: Oh, and ofcourse, running the "Compile" batch gives me the same error as NicbaZ.

And it also won't be like RSBot in the sense that we're not modifying the client in any way. Instead, we're simply using reflection to gather the information that we want or need.

It's very much possible to use a bytecode injected applet as well actually, you'd just create a private Client field which you'd reflect and then reflect the interfaces you created to apply to the client object in the stub, that's what I started with really… But seeing people seemed to prefer no modifications to the client, I went with pure reflection instead…

I know how easy it is to use - RSBot does just that. I was just trying to communicate what the current direction of the project was.
EDIT: Just read page 3 (heh) and I guess you're not really committed to having one or the other. I think I'd personally like to see a bot that uses a modified client, but I'm not really opposed to a pure reflection bot either.

Well, that's a good sign. Pity that I've realized, after reading through everything, that my knowledge of Java is insufficient to contribute anything at this point in time. Time to read over lots of tutorials and crack open my Java textbooks once more.

I just need Method to apply the changes to his updater I sent him so he can dump and upload a new injected jar file, so it should be fixed when he gets online…

I've almost got it done, well, the problem is solved, but the signed loader is not working yet, I'll still need some time to get that working, but the unsigned loader works as it did before again :) I'll be committing soon, also did some changes, you'll have to build the injection loader with the delphi 7 ide, then in root run the batchfile for injection, it'll create a folder named Genesis in the root containing everything needed to run injection
EDIT: The changes have been committed, thanks to Method's jar I can greatly increase the abilities of the injection loader now, so that's what I'm working on at the moment.

Atm I'm hoping someone will take care of working on the java part, seeing I'm a bit occupied with the delphi side of things :) It's in need of a virtual mouse and keyboard and it should be able to block userinput + preferably add a lag switch to the drawing or something to reduce cpu consumption… Also needs tabs, the original build had them, but I removed them to ease the development, I'll be re-adding them soon though

Yeah.
Well I found the bot called cherokee by moparisthebest. It has alot of stuff we can use from it.
For an example its FocusManager:
public class FocusManager {
public static void giveFocus(Component target) {
FocusEvent fe = new FocusEvent(target, FocusEvent.FOCUS_GAINED, false);
target.dispatchEvent(fe);
}
public static void loseFocus(Component target) {
FocusEvent fe = new FocusEvent(target, FocusEvent.FOCUS_LOST, true);
target.dispatchEvent(fe);
}
public static void readyForInput(Component target) {
if (!target.hasFocus())
giveFocus(target);
}
}
Should we take from it? Or make our own code.
senrath
2009-01-13 02:33:36
Well, we obviously shouldn't just take code and try and pass it off as our own. But for something that simple, I don't see why we can't incorporate it into what we use.

Nah he made it so it would be easier for people to make there own bots that rely on reflection, injection, bcel and so-on.
Has ALOT of sexy methods.

Looking over it, I say we use it. It has what we need in terms of mouse and keyboard, but nothing else.
It generates its own MouseEvents and KeyboardEvents, which was what I was just looking into.

People who are interested in helping, go learn the basics of Java (Google), so that you've got the syntax and shit down, then if you need to do stuff you can do it by just checking the functions from the API or googling "How To…", because you're not the only one in the world wanting to do it, and you don't have to remember the whole API…

I've updated Reflection, it now loads all hooks from a file, new hooks can be added by adding to this file, the file is parsed by a new included commandline tool from Method's updater output. Reflection now has a general interface to access the fields which makes creating classwrappers a lot easier. Also it works for #527 now. (Injection already did)

I have experience making RS Private Servers and Clients and I also do some RSBot scripting once and a while.

Here is a compiler that i made that automaticly find the JDK when you run it so you dont have to alter anything:

Actually I've decided to take this project another way, hoping to be coding this along with SCAR 4, the Idea will be to create a stand-alone java bot and then create an interface which will let SCAR 4 create instances of the bot and control them 100% reflection based or using color, kind of like a rly extensive version of SMART
