SMART how to make it run for long time?

Hi, i have a problem with SMART.
My problem is sometimes SMART can run up until 2 hours,
and most of the times it just runs for 30 mins, so what can the problem be?

Question:
Does SMART going to run for longer time if i have it minimized or not?

Please answer someone thnx.

Latest SMART should be stable
