SRL Archive - C/C++ Help and Tutorials

I am just reading tutorials about windows programming, and was trying to make a window with resources (such as menus, icons…etc.) and the tutorials I have read said that most "commercial" C++ compilers will have a built in resource editor to make this much easier. Does C++ have a resource editor or would I have to use something like Microsoft Visual C++?

AFAIK The C++ standard has no resource standard (IE it isn't really a part of c++ per say). I believe that Dev-C++ has a resource editor, but it isn't anywhere near as slick as the one found in MSVC.
