Hi, this is a question I've been asking myself recently :

Why do we hate Zezima/Defil3d ?

Because they're good players ? Not a reason.

Because they played alot ?

WHY ?!

Zezima for example, he's just a normal player, who has been playing for a long time and alot and got high stats [maxed stats].

Is that a reason ? Because he got high stats you need to go like "noob !!!" everytime you see zezima log in ?

Defil3d, I've seen videos about her on youtube and her lies.

But even before that, people hated her for some stupid reason.

And I don't understand why ?

They're just player with high stats. Normal players !

Look, I could take "Arnoolez21" as example.

He's a player I've never seen before and just a normal player.

Yet, nobody hates him.
He doesn't get called "noob","nerd","lame" or anything like that.

I need an explanation to this :O

We don't hate him and not all of zezima's stats are 99, his summoning is lvl 93 :D

does it matter? they have no lifes and to much spare time.

Why ? ! Alot of other players play more than 5 hours streak per day on RS, yet we don't hate them.

I thought he had 99 summon by now :/

zezima quit, but if u have the time to get to those levels no life.

Zezima lent his account per hour(s) to get all those levels…

I think we hate them because we a re jealous ;)

Most hate for Zezima is spawned from jealousy of his old " top spot" which he now has been pushed out of, so there is not much hate surrounding him now a days. Though, I'm pretty sure Zezima is just like us, and probably auto'd the more tedious skills such as agility and what not. So I wouldn't go to an extreme, and say they are no lifers.

edit: Upon thinking more, I have read quick guides to 99, so I'm sure with the right amount of cash, anyone could get those stats in a very short portion of their life.

I agree with that, allthough I don't think was pushed out exactly, more like pushed himself out :P

The only real measure of success in the game when you get down to it is free time. If you have a lot of free time and can be persistent and reasonably efficient you will have awesome stats after just 12 months.

I used to be able to play at work and that helped a lot! Now that I can only play in the evenings and then, only some of them I'm looking into autoing because I just don't have the spare time anymore.

Being jealous is a bit silly really. A reality check confirms they are only pixels and levels are just a measure of free time imho.

I remember The Old Nite, I knew him since he started RS. :o

I don't believe Zezima macroed.

Well its only me but I think Zezima is a totally legit player with high stats. THE END

I achieved my first 99 strength on my pure from 60 within 3 months.

But that was 3 years ago and I wasn't in High :(.

Easy skills (strength, attack, magic, ranged…) can all be fast achieved with the right amount of money :

Example : With the right amount of money you can use bursts from 70 in abyss. Of course, you need to achieve 70 first which normally shouldn't be a problem. If you do that, you will loose TONS of cash but it is the fastest way ever to 94.

Then. of course, move to barrage ^^.

Ranged : Cannon + Chinchompas = FTW exp. Just very expensive to keep it up that way.

However, harder skills (farming, prayer…) need alot of time.

I achieved 82 agility from 31 (i think) within 8 Months.

Realising I wasn't even half way to 99 I gave up and started macroing.

Result : Ban on a hyperuberomfglolwoot account :(.

I don't think its really about Zezima as a person.

Just the idol worship that accompanies his antics.

Like Brittany Spears. Plenty of ppl hate her cause shes a drug addict and a horrible influence. SO many other ppl are exactly like her, but we don't stress despising them as much as the celebrity

Lol I like your comparison.

I personally believe we mostly hate them because they are sad geeks and they are quite arrogant. However I don't actually despise them much, if I saw them in edge bank I simply would ignore them.

Jelousy, that is the complete and utter answer…

Hate is a very strong word. I'd say that we all highly dislike him…
Anyways, I think that zezima was exactly like us, and autoed like crazy to get all his stats. The reason he was so good is that in college, he took computer programming courses and all of that stuff, so he could program well, and not get vaught autoing.

Tbh Zezima already probably lost his virginity way before you. Some crazy RS female fan of his probably stalked him came to his house and took advantage of him.

lol, that actually make sense,..
but you can't really call the guy a nerd,
yes he does play the game, and devoted a lot of time into it,
but the guy started playing way back in rs classic,
so that's about 8 years of playing,
im sure you can get maxed in at least 5
and also the guys who are super rich,
i give them props, because they are probably rich in real life,
they used real life skills to manage their money in the game and come out billionaires,
if bill gates played i bet he'd come up with ways to make a couple billions

We are jealous, that's why.
And don't say, it's impossible.
The guy, who is number 4 ranked in Runescape overall(aasiwat) is from Estonia.
Think about it, only 1 million of us, and we make it in top 5? :)
People say, that there's gonna be a server in Estonia soon. :)
Anyway, what I want to say is, that there is no such thing like "impossible".

if something is popular, there are bound to be people hating it for whatever reason they have to hate it.

its a strange human behavior but its there.

personally i think it's because a huge number of rs players are young kids or better yet: noobs. most of them get ignored by higher-lvl players, so they learn to hate them/feel jealous.

People hate them because they are jealous, but I think the amount of time you have to play the game to have 99 in all stats could class you as a nerd. lol
