Obviously some people don't understand what it is. First of all, it cannot be used to transfer money from autoer to main. It just doesn't work and you lose money unless you get the junk yourself which I don't find the purpose of doing. I'll show you why.

Junk trading is basically used to sell an item that worth more than the market price or to lend an item.

To trade an item for higher than normal price.
First Trader A: Selling d claws 40 mill!
Trader B: Hey i'll buy but the market price is only 1 mill! How are we gunna trade?
Trader A: Easy, i'll put up junk in my bank that i don't want i.e. yew (u) bows that's worth 39 mill plus the d claws making 40 mill.
Trader B: Oh ok!

Trader A lost some money doing junk trade because obviously you can sell the bows to general but just get much less money back but such is the way things are after runescape changed.

To lend an item for money
Same thing where the trader A puts up junk and Trader B buys it except this time Trader A also puts up an item up for lend.

Yea and that's basically all to junk trading. You can't autoer to main because first you would need junk… And you will lose money.

Edit: Ok well you can not lose money by transferring, but I doubt anyone would go through the process of getting junk on your main anyways…

I'm sorry, but that is not entirely accurate. On a friend's main, he has several million in junk that he has generated himself. He would lose no money if he traded them to his secondary for his secondary's cash. I'd say it works pretty well for transferring money.

It works, but my point is you would need to get all that junk yourself on your main which defeats the purpose of autoers to make money and transfer to your main wouldn't it? And BH is way faster and more efficient. And yes he would have lost some money? Your junk can be sold to the general store for a little bit of cash no matter how insignificant.

Or you can find an item that has a fairly large difference between lowest and mid price… Buying at lowest, selling at mid = profit.

Eh, that's not always the case.

Junk trading is a good way to transfer money, buy 10k maple logs, fletch into long bow (U)'s and thats 1m profit..
