We never truly were. I doubt that they even wanted us there to kill Saddam. That could have been accomplished with a few assassins.

Pretty obviously nobody would like foreign people invading their homeland..

You are making it sound like it is our fault. Not America's fault but our as in the people's fault. There are lots of people who are against our wars. Considering Americans as bad is a stereotype. It may be true but it is still a little offensive. That's why I'm moving to Canada in a few years.

No its the 250+ people in congress (who control the world) and the president's fault.

It's more of the Presidents fault. After he blamed Iraq, anyone in the houses who opposed him was guaranteed to not get re-elected. Politics sucks.

We really shouldn't have been there after Powell's claim of Iraq having WMD was proved false.

And till this day I still dont know why Vietnam was invaded by the U.S.

80% of the veterans from Vietnam have mental issues.

How long had we been in there before it was proved to be false?

america was scared of communism and wanted to stop it spreading,
they had the hypothesis they called the domino effect, where if one country 'falls' to communism, all the others around it will follow.
