No, most scripts are either made by mods or inspected by mods to make sure there is no password stealer.
We don't go through every single script and check it, except for in the "Free for All" scripts section, which all must be approved by a Mod or Admin.
There is no need to ever download any sort of executable file that could give you a virus. All Scar scripts are simple text files, and can be looked through.
Things to be wary of would be a special DLL plugin that is required, or if the script is encrypted somehow. Although both plugins and encryption can be useful in extreme situation, I would not recommend that any new users attempt to use a script with either of those, and they are very rare to begin with.
If we are ever alerted to a script with any sort of pass stealer in it, the response is swift and the consequences are severe.
Admins, Mods, and Devs are generally the most trustworthy, and SRL members are generally very trustworthy as well. In general, the more posts someone has here, the more trustworthy they are. At the end of the day, you have to use your own discretion. If something seems fishy to you or too good to be true, you should probably follow your instincts.
