Hello!…
Here is the client that Kingarabian has worked on for a while, it is [almost] the most recent deob of RS and allows PVP, etc :) It is very fun!

YOU MUST USE MY CUSTOM CACHE AND CLIENT!!… USING SILABSOFT'S CLIENT OR MOPARS WILL NOT WORK AND WILL JUST FAIL TO CONNECT TO MY SERVER
How to Play
Download the cache and the client.
Download URLs are on this page. <– Download stuff you need here!!
Now go to C:\ and extract the Cache.rar right there!… so the main folder says cache508..
Now extract the 508 client to were ever you want.
Run the client [run the run.bat], then type pserv.no-ip.biz for the "IP".
pserv.no-ip.biz:
If the client stops loading at "update server", then that means my server is offline [should never happen], or you typed in the wrong IP address.

Need help setting up?
Add me on MSN and get LogMeIn from logMeIn.com [download the FREE version], then install it, right click on the icon near your clock -> start minimeeting -> then follow the steps, then give me the URL and I can fix the errors for you remotley.

Common errors!..
"error_game_js5io" == You did NOT setup your cache folder correctly.. make sure you can see main_file_cache.dat2, and all other cache files, at C:\cache508\rs2\<THE CACHE FILES>.
"error_game_js5connect" == You did not confingure the client to connect to the correct IP, or my server is down temporarily.
"It just sits on Connecting to server with no error message" == ^Same as answer to "error_game_js5connect"..you did not setup connecting correctly.


If you want to run the client without the stupid MSDOS window at the bottom, find the run.bat file in your client folder, right click -> edit -> change it to:

start javaw -Xmx256m client 66 live live software members english game1

Only problem with using this setup is that to end the game client, you must go to Control + Alt + Delete [Task Manager] and kill "javaw.exe".

Useful commands [there are many more, try to find them ;)]
::players = Tells you how many people are playing.
::yell <message> = Says a message to everyone playing the game.
::kbd = Go to the King Black Dragon
::wguild = Go to the Warriors Guild
::kq = Go to the Kalphite Queen
::male / ::female = Change the gender/sex of your character.
::item <item ID> <quanity of item> = Put an item into your inventory with the ID specified. For example, ::item 0995 999 will give you 999 GP's :)
::npc <npc ID> = (Admin only!) Will generate a NPC specified by the ID in your tile.

Downloading now, took me a while to figure out what u meant by rs2 cache… I just assumed all 3 download links were to the same thing. :(

One thing, how long will this server be online for? Are we talking days, weeks, years?

The server will [or at least SHOULD] be on 24/7. Only time it will be down is when my power goes out for more than an hour, or if someone touches my router, which should never happen ;)

You do not have the cache setup correctly; you need to make sure all the cache files are in C:\cache508\rs2\<cache files folderless>.

That second error is because you dont have java installed I believe. lol

well yes i have, as i can run runscape. and iv been on java and been told im up todate.

Yeah, you gotta have the latest version of Sun Java. Go to http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp and download and install Java SE Development Kit (JDK) 6 Update 10, and you shouldn't have any errors.

Yeah, this server owns, it is almost exactly like RS except for a few things ;) It is the best for writing scripts on it because it is so much like normal RS.

Does this have commands? OR is that only for the mods ingame?

Server OFFLINE, It hangs at updating to server.

Edit: Hmm, ffs, now I can't connect. My connection log says I am getting incomming connections correctly from my IP, but it gives error_game_js5connect as if I have the IP incorrect, but I don't -.-
I should have munk host this I guess..

A #508 client should only be able to connect to a server using the #508 protocol… You wrote a #508 server?

It isn't true HD, try it out.

And I fixed the problem, apparentally someone liked to "piss in my packets" on the files on my server.
Connect to pserv.no-ip.biz to play.

i hate downloading clients for some odd reason they never work for me lol

I do have the 508 folder in my c drive. I read the directions 50000 times and It still wont work. I tried everything possible it seems like. Ehh.. oh well.

game crashes often while fighting mobs. also ancients doesn't work on mobs, only on players.

it doesn't crash all too often but maybe we could give this a bit more hype? autotypers anyone?

Quite a few of the items don't work.

Most of them are ones not too many people would use though.

Set the default close operation to 0 on the client frame.

lol, hy its easy to find the things to type and no theres not that many, just hard to find out the syntax for them as i can find every command but no syntax :P, you didn't make it very hard, you could have at least hidden the client folder :P.

Eh, Super Attack potions and Rings of Recoil are among the broken items.

Also, it's fun to use the ::item command with a nonexistent ID, to generate a null item. Just look at the item generated :P

Nope, this server doesn't lag at all. At least not when I've been on it…

The last sentence is true ;) Ancients work if you find out how to [ask Metagen, s/he was using them]. I personally do not have any .java files on the server, just .class files, so unless I take the time to decompile them all, I can not even see how to fix it; you'll need to talk to Kingarabian.

No lag at all; I went to my friends house who has 56k dialup and it has no lag at all.
Mah speed, it fluctuates between these two speed results:

I kinda abuse the ::npc command a lot though :o

pretty dope server. no lagg at all… awesome. nobody was on while I was on tho, so i got bored and stopped playing lol.

Any anyways, this is offline right now; stupid hard drive reformat made me lost all the server files =X and I have not retrieved them back from Kingarabian yet.

that might be because of tortioise SVN it changes the variables to the tortoise SVN ones instead of the java ones, it's quite annoying
