Anyways, I wanted to let you guys know that I found this pretty cool site called "Merchants of Death". They buy items in bulk so you can make huge profits. I encourage anyone who wants to make money in Runescape to check it out.

I can't sign up right now, but I read the front page and it said something to the extent of "the more people join, the more money everyone makes."
How does that work, the only way I can say it working is if it takes money generated by runescape itself. There's only so much you can take from the players.

The more brought out of the market the higher the price rises.

N3ss3s, you have to "apply" but it takes like 2 minutes. Its just to ensure that you are safe enough because if even on person starts selling too soon, it will screw everyone else over, so yeah :\

Pwn, i love what ur doing and i merch myself in my clan chat and do the same thing this clan does and I know it works if people don't sell whenever they feel like it. I just don't understand why your allowed to post a signature with a referral and a website when I am not allowed to. I got 2 free rs memberships from my website in a few days but I got 2 infractions for putting it in my signature, and I didn't even make a thread advertising it

If this forum is going to be consistent then u should receive 2 infractions and both your thread and your sig should be deleted, thats what happened to me anyway even after I showed proof of it working. But anyway I love how your telling people about merching because its really fun to do, requires no work, and its basically the only way to get a p hat without playing 24/7. I wish you the best of luck and I hope nobody takes it out of your sig :D I also wish I could join you but I have my own merching clan to take care of :(

I am sorry you got a infraction. The difference in yours and mine is that yours was a pay per click add, which it clearly states in the Rules not to post. It however does not say anything about advertising websites in your signature.

To the rest, I repped you. And I make my money by fishing but you cann also pick flax and stuff, you can make 400k easily in like 4 hours on some chars.

And for those of you who have like 3mill, I got in with 3.35 mill and a glory so I think that they aren't very strict about it, at least not while its starting so come quick!

Ouch.. I just took a look at the website and the ge graphs and it looks really unsuccessful. Tbh when i merch I at least double if not triple my money. Some guy put in 7 mil and only made 2 mil >.<. I dont mean to burst your bubble but that is extremely poor, especially when most merchs last a few weeks. And if your merchs arent lasting a few weeks than that means your not waiting long enough, price goes up maybe 4-5% a day lets say and you buy an item at 10k ea right? 5% of 10k is a lot less than 5% of 20k, so the higher the price goes the more u make, if u only wait a few days u wont make much. But idk, maybe it works for u. Gl in the future :D And btw why does your merchant clan have referrals? is signing up a requirement? if it is then you are losing a lot of members that way, unless you like it to be private. I prefer public merchs as you get a lot more buyers, and even if the noobs sell before the date it doesn't matter because you have so many other people to buy them out.

dude if u read what i posted u would see. Say u buy an item for 10k right? and it goes up 5% a day (max) if u sell that in afew days… u will get that much. if u buy an item at 10k and it goes up 5% a day. And you wait a few weeks, 5% of 20k is more than 5% of 10k and 5% of 30k is a lot more than both those. So as the price goes up the more that 5% will become more, so the longer u wait the more u make. Switching merch items frequently is not good because that 5% a day wont be much at all compared to the price u first bought it at. Therefore ur merch clan is noob, sry to say. I am looking to quadruple the amount of money i have on my current merch looking to last for 3 more weeks.

Well it depends what the item is. I dumped white berets with a group a few months ago, and I only put somewhere around 3-4m in and came out with over 6. The berets also didn't go up as high as we planned cause some asshole started selling too soon. So depends on how it goes and what the item is. If the dump goes as planned and you buy 30m worth of the item, then you could probably make 15m+ easily.

Cool site :) I was looking for a merchanting clan the other day, but figured that the good ones would be invite only, maybe this site will prove me wrong. Also, removed refferal links and begging from your sig and main post - we dont allow asking for referrals for any other sites, why would we allow it for this one?

Um, I don't like to disagree, but I don't see anything in the rules against it. It clearly says no pay per click ads, which requires referrals, nothing against referrals to other sites.

I don't think you are on these forums because you obey Jagex rules now are you. And it's impossible to track unless you post your RS name, because for all they know, you are an innocent merchanter that saw the prices going up.

oh btw, merchanting or "buying out items" is not illegal. I asked countless p mods and j mods and they say it is 100% legal but frowned upon. If you think merchanting is bug abuse then u are wrong. and btw… even if it was they have no proof that u are buying them out on purpose. They cant just ban everyone that is buying the merch item as they have no proof u were part of the merchanting clan, and its not illegal anyway. Also I think taking out the referral is a good idea… If your going to take away my referral link for getting free rs memberships which isnt even a scam cuz i am currently using a free membership on my main, then ur gunna have to take out everyone's ref id's.

just a heads up , also heard these public Merchant clans can make you lose $$$$.

if couple greedy heads sell there stuff too early, you'll lose the $ , or something like that.
theres another 1 in Swiftkit(acid) and theyyy are huge but friends told me anyone can join w/ 60m and up though alot of idiots are not trustful and just hurt you.

so if you want to do something liek this , do it with like a bunch of trust of fellows. like a clan your in or so.

What? They don't. They get everyone to buy up the item, then when it raises enough due to demand, we sell it and it plummets.
