2008-11-26 10:18:58

First was one update, and dplate came with that update, then a while after it another one…

[-jesus-]

2008-11-26 10:25:03

ugh… They actually made a dragon plate? -_-

NCDS

2008-11-26 10:36:29

how can you not be happy about that?

noodlesalan

2008-11-26 11:23:39

Magiic

2008-11-26 11:24:10

lol..dragon plate is honestly crap its over quadruple the price :P and it looks hardly any different and it gives the same stats

Ohbe

2008-11-26 11:38:20

o.O They made a d plate finally. And I agree that its quaduple over price >.> 30m…?

senrath

Apparently the dplate also degrades, and requires 99 smithing to repair it.

noodlesalan

2008-11-26 14:21:11

omg, nobody is going to buy it then.

That is completely stupid. why would dragon plate degrade!?!?!?

i'm sticking with chain, overpriced plate is a waste of time.

I think they made it degrade just to give the people with 99 smithing something to do with their skill.

And what about the people that paid 30m?

botsrs

2008-11-26 17:14:48

Lol, yeah, that's stupid. When (and if) someone gets the plate, tell us what the stats are and everything.

Well, you have to buy it or get it from the quest to begin with. As for the people who bought it without the ability to repair it, ouch.

The assisit System?

anonymity

2008-11-26 17:39:51

The assist might work….but considering the nature behind the dplate, I am not sure that they will allow assist for that. Also… If anybody on here got dplate and they needed 99 smithing… well it is not like they couldnt get it.

If they put in a dragon plate body why don't they put in a pick axe and a kite shield. If they do put a pick axe and kite shield it will be complete.

meh…dragon platebody. I don't think it's worth it personally. :P

Romey

lol still pretty funny though

Why is getting a dragon plate not worth. Is it because it is to much money to buy it or does it just stink.

Unless you have 99 smithing, not only does it cost a lot of money, but it will break and you can't repair it.

austinpowers

2008-11-30 09:56:07

I didn't know that dragon plate body could break. Does it break when you use it.

It degrades in the same manor as barrows gear, and things like that.

I think you're wrong my friend. It's like the dragon sq shield. You have to put three pieces together, wich needs 99 smithing. A J mod stated they will lower it to 92 smithing on the official forums. It does NOT degrade. "Repairing" is actually only smithing together three pieces.

I haven't played rs in a while now. But can't you just request help or what ever it is? Or can't you do that with smithing? Not sure if thats a stupid question.

Ah. That makes a bit more sense. It's not QUITE as bad as I originally thought, but still insanely expensive.

it doesnt degrade, it would be pointless in that aspect if it did.

I think bandos would be a better choice for practicality, but dragon plate is a sign of wealth, actually useful in combat also. Plus you arent about to lose one if you die to a random, the alch value so high.

they waited (too) long to release the D plate.
I'm not excited.
