Please write down a paragraph about Yourself.

Well, this is my third time applying for members. The first 2 were way long ago, and I applied with very inexperienced scripts. This is my first time back scripting for a very long time, and I get I learned a lot. (Even though that's what I said the second time I applied). Hopefully I get accepted, and continue contributing.

Looks good, i liked the ddtm's and the find barbhall function,
might need some more failsafes just in case it cant find it ect. But on the whole i think its pretty good. but since i need to catch up after being away ill hold my vote incase im wrong

looks good tho.

How does your FindBarbHall; work? Anyways Yes from me, because you have that auto-color function i never heard of. Also you have everything.

EDIT:

For walking back, you could've used RRW using the water throughout the whole way =l

Magiic

2008-11-22 05:06:58

yes from me, like was said, you have it all but the standards sometimes get messed up

Tniffoc

2008-11-22 09:09:21

I'll hold my vote because of failsafes. If your DTM/DDTM fails then use RRWalk. Actually, it would be better to say if RRWalk fails, then DTM. Also, if you don't free your DTM/DDTMs you will get memory leaks like me!

FreeDTM(someDTM);
So, as I said, I'm undecided. If you add failsafes it will be a definite yes.

[X]: DTMs
[X]: DDTMs
[X]: Walking
[X]: Antiban/Antirandom
[X]: Multiplayer

A few things in there can be converted to cases to save 15 lines of code.

Not bad, I just don't like how there isn't a good amount of Multiplayer.

Yes from me.

OK thanks you guys, the main thing I am getting from all this feedback is failsafes, which I will definetly add.

In your BackToBarbs procedure you can load the DDTM's before and use a for to do command it would be much more efficient, like its used in reflection for calling paths :)

I've voted yes - amazing autocolor by the way, im sure you'll be a valuble asset to SRL Members :)

Griff

2008-11-22 17:31:08

OK thanks, that kinda makes sense, with the for to do. Never ysed refkection in scripting before, though. Thanks again for all your yeses and gls :D

I agree, although I still voted yes - seems to have a good grasp of the methods used in the script.
Don't like how you have your main loop done, but that's more style than substance. :)

I agree, although I still voted yes - seems to have a good grasp of the methods used in the script.
Don't like how you have your main loop done, but that's more style than substance. :)

Well, I can a bit see where lee lok came from, because I did forget to add multiplayer, and my standards were a bit messed up. Thanks for seeing that I do have the skill to be member, but thanks lee lok for pointing out where I can improve on.

Lee that part of the script is fine as I see it. It doesn't need an end else statement because if it doesn't find the DTM it will just skip the begin through end part. Then If it doesn't find the DTM then it works as a failsafe :)

Procedure EatFood;
begin
if (Foodtype = 1) then
begin
if FindDtm(SalmonDTM, x, y, MIX1,MIY1,MIX2,MIY2) then
begin
Mouse(x, y, 0, 0, false);
ChooseOption('almon');
Inc(Foodies);
end; // end else begin?
if not (FindDtm(SalmonDTM, x, y, MIX1,MIY1,MIX2,MIY2)) then
begin
WalkToEdge;
Banking;
BackToBarbs;
end;
end;
end;

This bit? Wel, it calls FindDTM twice when once is fine. Waste of time :p

@Griff, you have great potential, and talent. But. Finish your script, or polish it up a little ;)

P.S. I took that line from a book somewhere. Heh.

Maybe so, but IMHO that's trivial, something you could correct in 5 minutes…

Yes, Griff you also did that in FindArrows… waste of a few processor cycles and something to work on :) I really like the autocolour.

No sorry, you aren't freeing your DTMs correctly, you don't use arrays when you should.

You do use dtms well, and I like your autocolor even though I don't quite follow it.

You should try and add your own TPAs as well, FindObjTPA is all fine and great, but it uses a lot less skill than writing your own.

You need more waits. If you move the mouse to something, it takes the RS client about 75 ms to react and return uptext, same with any interface. You need to allow for lag and put a Wait(RandomRange(80, 120)); when ever you look for uptext or use chooseoption.

All in all, good attempt, much better than last time if I remember, but I hope to see you in next time.

Thanks for the tips Nava, I had no idea about the reaction time. Also, I'm trying to make my own TPAs for another script. Glad you posted why you said no.

I was trying to explain [(In my head) I was also going to post the reasons, but I couldn't] what Nava2 said. I realized the exact same things in your script as what he said. Sorry, no.
