Hey all,
Just thought that this would be really great XP (and money) if you got it working reliably. If you're not familiar with this mine, you get access after completing the quest, "Between a Rock…".

Anyways, getting in is through an NPC conversation, and you can bank through another NPC convo, and leave the mine by removing the special helmet you need to go in.

I was wondering if there was some way (HSL ?) to find the gold rocks - they're the only yellow thing on an otherwise grey screen. Also, would the weird ceiling rocks (can't be turned off) screw up pick head finding, etc? And also, see on the minimap, the red lines… would it be possible to wander around (RW ?) the mine when rocks are gone

All these things are very possible and not too hard.. The only thing that gets me every now an then is I occasionally get lost on the way to bank the gold with the boatman.

Also a got caught out a few times with a few randoms.. I'm assuming that this is down to the rocks in the foreground but I haven't managed to track it down yet.

It's also painfully slow. at level 85 I'm only earning 30k xp an hour..

Other than that it's not a bad place to auto..

Cool, thanks - I figured getting between the boatman and the dwarf would be difficult.
Although it's probably slow (mining seems to be so in general), it's a fair cross between XP and money, and there's a LOT of it.

Easily done with reflection.

Use color rock findng, and reflection walking as doing radial walks etc would be hard in that enviornment. If you are doing reflection walking, might as well do NPC finding, as well as pickhead finding :)

ah, not if you auto it.

gold smithing gloves with a lot of gold ore = fastest smithing exp eva.

you still need p2p for it…
would you want to risk a p2p acc (and only 1 account)

i rather have 2-4 players…
