Well I spent a bit of time crawling and I came up with this:

Approximately 200 posts from Kaitnieks as of December 5th, 2005. For those of you who don't know what Kaitnieks is, it's basically where private servers and cheating on RuneScape originated from.

Just thought I'd share this with the community.

I'm pretty sure private servers originated from moparisthebest, I don't remember them being around when kait was. I wonder if I'm somewhere in there =0!

Private servers originated at kaitnieks' forums. Winterlove created the first private servers there. Started with a fly-trough of a the map with items scattered all-over. Then he made a basic model with walking and such. That still forms the base for most servers currently around.

In fact WL's client hack was in fact Runescape High Detail avant la lettre! and without fog!

Edit: You need also jython (http://www.jython.org/) for runtime manipulations (see here ). It's not essential for the server though, you can comment out the jserv invokations.

Oh no I'm sure Freddy and Fakawi still keep in contact with him.

I wasnt around when kaitnieks was here but i remember a hell alot of bots around tree's and such xD Or was that aryan?

You also had that with Aryan, because it went to world 72 by default. There were like 200 people mining essence at world 72 in those days. ;)

Nothing happened to Kaitnieks, he just quit hosting his forums and updating SCAR as he had real life issues to address that he deemed more important …

Anyway I thought google would have still had the forums cached but I guess not. :(

Ah, aryan, good days, lol, quite funny, I tended to use less obvious scripts though :p And my chars weren't running around naked…

I still have access to all data on kaitnieks' forums though…

And Kait is fine last time I heard, I talk to him a lot, though he's not been on in a few weeks

Aryan was a bot with methods. It did not use reflection. It was made by a team, I forget everyone that was in it… long time ago. But I distinctly remember Regex rigging up the UID randomizer (everytime you logged in Aryan it would create a new UID for you) so that it would always return -1, this helped Jagex do the first and last(as far as I know) mass ban in Runescape 2, banning around 9 - 15k accounts. Also in the later revisions of Aryan, I remember they faked mouse movements and such. I clearly remember someone on the team stating if you were dumb enough to have it walk further then the minimap would go you deserved to be banned due to the mouseclick clicking way past the minimap would normally allow.

He did this because it had become a huge leeching bot. Infact, it became so popular I remember 1 million RSGP dropped in price from 5 USD to about 2-3. Also membership sales boosted in demand because everyone wanted to buy membership for the botted noobs they had. Aryan was a open source bot so I am guessing someone took the source code and modified it quite a bit (considering as far as I know, Aryan never used reflection back in the day). Regex also quit RS cheating I believe after this.

I remember running Aryan at draynor fishing shrimps and anchovies for almost 3 days straight. I got like 77 fishing. Still not banned too. Not a lot of my characters that used Aryan got banned, infact I remember only getting banned once, when I ran a guildminer (The mining guild has like the best little community ever, there are these invisible rules that make it so that you can not walk up to a random rock and mine if it there is someone else at that rock) and I tested it and everyone would go "stop mining my rock!" and some more knowledgeable people then the average person said I was a bot so that probably happened more then once. That is also why I do not mine in the mining guild now.

I can not speak for anyone else but Aryan was pretty undetectable. I had gotten 70 mining from mining rune essence and that account still exists today, however I have given it to my friend :p. I think that coupled with the fact that you could run like 20-30 bots at once. So you got like 1000-10000 leechers all running 3 - 20 bots and you realize that causes problems. And that does not include the non leechers in the people that got mass banned, as it spread very fast that Regex was going to kill Aryan.

I still have the last Aryan revision on my computer somewhere… Anyway, I do not think I nailed all of that 100%, I was not keeping any of the events on record. So a lot of this could have been twisted by my horrible memory. If anyone wants to correct something I may have forgotten or I accidentally remembered incorrectly can go right ahead.

I do not know anything about RSDemon.

I still have the RSDemon .exe and the other files.

did anyone ever use Sbot? and LeoSleep and all that back for classic? lol

-Summer 2004: I started using one of my old characters and macroed it with SCAR, SleepWalker took care of fatigue part for me [had around 4000 codes, which I earned by handling the sleeping part to other SleepWalker users]… ..after that nice time with SCAR, Reines introduced me ReiBot, with which I started botting. (h)
-September 2004: I got banned with my macro character because of botting, so I decided to quit RuneScape. I never got into RuneScape 2, and never will. Ugly creation.

Reines was the one who told me about ReiNet, RSCheatNet and Kaitnieks through MSN (Summer 2004). So, he was the one who referred me to the world of RuneScape cheating. :) Great guy.

and sherman. aryan was around way before reflection. i'm not exactly sure how it worked but i never heard of reflection before while using it. i'm pretty sure it used item ID's tho? idk been a while

No one talked about reflection around this time. So I can only assume reflection was not used. If I had to take a guess it sent commands via the client.

IE if find RockFilled with Iron ore at x/y then send command that you have mined it.

I never actually looked into the engine of Aryan and nor do I know the java know how to know what any of it means. Maybe it would be best to ask someone who has more knowledge with client hacking.

I may be a bit late but i can still remember those days.

To the person who said aryan was an add on for moparscape. Thats what it turned into eventually. But before that you were able to use it with the real RS.

I remember in those days the essence mines were just swamped with people, it was absolutely insane. And you could create those… Ive forgotten what they were called :P But basically it was a heap of scripts mixed together that ran in a row. So first you made your char do tut island, then automatically it would run to falador, then after that start mining. All without you doing anything to it.

Odies fighter was probably the earliest script i used. I also used a few of jokers ones. I remember running odies fighter while i went to high school and coming home and being excited for 50 strength.

If i can find my first script ill try and post it here. But i very much doubt i know where it is. it was bloody awesome. I didnt know booleans so i just used strings like beentobank:='yes';

Pyro what category was it. Because I have a 30mb cheats pakk (some danish thingy) with all the scripts from the old days on it. Maybe it'll be on there

Twas an essence miner. I think in only made one version of it i cant remember.

First script I used was probably pups guildminer.

I remember when i first time downloaded scar with my friend.
He had heard that it must be scripted so we tried to type in the text box something like:
Kill chickens in lubridge :D but ofcourse it didnt work :( (that was the first scar I think)

Purpose. You must create a website, whose main ingredient is an online file directory, with the option for visitors to view a file in the catalog, and their descriptions, to allow registered users to add and modify files.

Design. Is designed, cut into HTML format, and any artwork will not be a programmer.

Functionality.

Home. The first page shows the following things
top downloaded file list
top rated list of files
editor selected

Catalog.
Section 2 levels
accounted for file downloads
opportunity to examine files (5-star system)
A search on the file description and key words

File List. Files have the following characteristics: short description, long description, size, rating, screenshots, in addition to screenshots, downloads of the number of editor's feedback, the incorporation date, publisher, key words, the license (free / trial / demo), price, purchase link, version room .

Pushing the catalog title, appears lappu&#353;ots file a list of abbreviated information. Pushing the file appears in more information.

Add. Publishers can add files. To become a publisher to register with the following fields: first name + last name, e-mail, name, user name, password, website address (optional). Registration is confirmed via e-mail. The publisher can see your files, add, edit and remove (disable) it. Publisher files attached pages are invisible to visitors to the Editor make them visible. The attached screenshots automatically reduce the size required.

Editor (Administrator).
you can see all the files, modify, disable and delete them, hide or make visible and to add a comment to a file editor.
may change, add and delete the directory categories.

Text sections. It should be some text to the background section. WYSIWYG is not necessarily required.

Claims against the code. Code must be plain language, understandable to repair and exhaustive. Templates (templates) are separated from the code, but not desirable complex template engines. The end product should work on servers without special configurations (standard gdlib + PHP4 + mysql). It is not advisable to construct the massive project, it is difficult to learn CMS database.
