Banning Raw Data

When I log on using rsbot, I get myusername.dat files in .jagex_cache_32. However, when I use normal, signed or not, or SMART, signed or not, I do not get these files. This must mean that Jagex has detected RSBOT. This also is another way to determine bans. I deleted these files and was never banned. Just thought I'd share my observations! :)

Doesnt rsbot make this file?

Yes, I do believe so.

I could be wrong but I thought that was where they saved usernames and passes.

I think the usernames and passes are stored as (username).xml

the myusername.dat (i.e. rsbotisftw.dat) is just the random.dat file but then renamed for your char. RSBot uses this to have a unique ID for every char.

Does this make it more "ban-able"?

Can't tell, in theory it should stop chain bans, as they usually ban a whole UID they were thinking.

Do you mean, if I leave those UID's of the characters in my army after using rsbot, it is likley that they will get banned… Eventually?

Here's the method RSBot injects to do that if any of you were interested:

public void FixFile(String username)
{
try
{
c = new File(c.getParent(), (new StringBuilder(String.valueOf(username))).append(".dat").toString());
c.createNewFile();
b = new RandomAccessFile(c, "rw");
}
catch(IOException ioexception)
{
System.out.println("###############\r\n# !! ERROR !! #\r\n###############");
ioexception.printStackTrace();
}
}

I'm not really sure how the banning system works with UIDs, so I can't be of much help in that respect.
