Both of these infractions are from today and from srl member: Ruroken

I dont really know you that well but I believe you shouldn't have the abilities that you have if you are going to misjudge the situation. Ok first of all I could have sworn that you can advertise in your siggy… am I wrong? I am pretty sure the only rule is not posting a new topic or thread about it.. which I see all the time and I clearly state not to do that whenever I see it occur. Second of all both of these infractions are for the same thing and both of them are wrong… so I would seriously like to get this removed or even get rid of your abilities to do this to people. I have been loyal to this forum and I try to keep my cool but you can't just give me an infraction for no good reason.

Oh btw, please do look at both of the links that were given to me, as the first one makes no sense… and theres no rules being broken and the second link doesn't even work for me.

Rofl… I'm almost done with this entire thread. I'm now being accused of making another account just to post an ad for this website? I'm not going to get angry I'm simply going to say just because I'm not an srl member or admin or someone of high power doesn't give anyone the right to accuse me of breaking the rules.

If you were already infracted twice, and 3 infractions gets you a suspension why do you still have it in your sig?..

I was pretty sure you could put referral links in your sig. But that might be old, and they may have amended the rules, if so, I think you should have just gotten a warning and not an infraction. But at least you're not banned ;)

I am sorry but that is the way I feel, I can't trust too many srl members anymore as they seem to be multiplying like crazy and as we all know one of them did steal our passwords in the past… (won't mention names). I just can't trust too many people on here especially after something like this. Ask yourself this, was two infractions REALLY necessary? That is why I refuse to give in.

Edit: They made it so your siggy can't be too big… It just disappears if it is. So my siggy is not too big because it is impossible for it to be. I am sorry but if your going to take me down then your going to have to take down an entire army of srl registrars.

Your siggy can be as long as you make it, Just if it is too long then you can't see it, But it still loads the image making everything as slow as it was before :(

They have always multiplied like mad.

That kinda seems like a pretty bad attitude…I re-read the RULES, and yeah, it says that you can't even have them in your siggie.

Should you have gotten two infractions? Probably not, but acting this way while trying to say you don't deserve it does not help your case.

Because I am not going to do what Ruroken tells me to do… For the same reason that I just explained. I believe his reasoning is incorrect and even if it was against the rules he was being too harsh. Especially after saying "Have a nice day" right after giving me an infraction, I'm not a rocket scientist but that sounds like some sarcasm to me. Coming from an SRL member, or so called "higher class."

@ Brain - I realize this but I am just really frustrated, its 12:00 at night, its been a long day. I think I'm going to bed now. I agree with you 100% though, I just get like this when I try so hard to defend myself. Apologies to the above posters

Nhstarter grow up. Admins have authority to keep this place clean not screw you over. If you've recieved an infraction clean up your signature and stop complaining. Be glad it's not temporary ban.

Posting "Click Cash" ads/referrals. It is unwelcome here! Will result in 10 day temp ban for thread advertisements, infraction for siggy ads.

We put this rule into effect when there was a MAD amount of sig/threads linking to the click & make money sites. So many of these were posted that it was made into a rule, and several infractions/suspensions were put up to stop this.

1. I agree you should of only received ONE infraction for now. If you don't remove the ad in a timely manner, I could see another infraction come to you.
2. You shouldn't of brought up a point like this in a while new thread. Instead of making it a big deal, PM a admin/mod and ask whats up, and kindly ask about the situation. And perhaps review to have one of the infractions to be removed. They aren't permanent, they decay after a month or some such anyways.

These haven't been a problem recently, but if you want to make a big deal about it then I'll make a big deal about it.
Remove the ad and review it with a Admin/mod. I can just as well give an infraction if its not removed in a timely manner - 1 week, unless a Admin says otherwise.

Remember, you brought this up, I wasn't going to say anything so blame yourself.

I brought this up not mainly for me but for ruroken. I wanted him to realize what he actually did to me. That is all.

Edit: Blame myself for doing nothing wrong and given no warning that I wasn't allowed to post advertisements in my siggy? I have seen it a million times on these forums and its only annoying when people post new threads about it and try to advertise it more than it should be advertised. If you read through my records you would realize I took a long break from srl/runescape and the rules changed during that time. I am being accused also of making different accounts to advertise this? But I should blame myself right…. coming from an admin.

Why not just remove it before you are banned?

At the end of the day you don't get anything for nothing and the add you have posted IS a scam. At some point as with all the rest it will fall over, they all rely on the pyramid selling principle and in the mean time you are encouraging folk to divuldge all manner of information to what is effectivly an parasitic invasive marketing company.

They are not affiliated with jagex/runescape in any way.

Ok so tell me about the ads for scunerape. Narcle has one himself in his signature. If you go there and you get scammed is it not 100% worse than what I am doing? Tell me that. You could potentially lose all your money/accounts on that website. And don't tell me there is a website that has a black market that is 100% safe to use and you won't get scammed… its impossible.

On to the next thread I read and there are another 2 members with the same add. I would hope both of them get infractions as well..

Remove the Add. The rules are clear.

If you feel that the rules are wrong and need changing then discuss that separately after you remove the add..

Personally I find these kind of pyramid schemes insidious and think they should be stamped out with extreme prejudice!

Yes I realize this… I am not doing it to "mess" with you. I am doing it because you gave me an infraction for no reason whatsoever and the second infraction is what I see all over these forums and I suppose its not your fault so I'm kind of lenient with that one and I suppose it should be dealt with by an admin because I really believe my signature is fine the way it is. Scunerape is the same thing. If you are going to penalize me then penalize everyone that has advertisements in their signature.

Your add is a click add for personal gain. You gain membership by getting others to sign up to the scheme and sell all thier personal information and thier souls to the devil. In return they have to sign up x more people in order to get thier free membership. These adds are scams. They are pyramid schemes that are flawed by design and only make money for those at the top.

Pushing your own favourite forum via a banner or add is a completely different matter.

If you look at most, sigs they do not have the kind of adds that are for personal gain. Those that do have them get warned, accept the warning and move on. You on the other hand have pushed it onto a whole new level.

No you can't use referral links and or advertisements in your signature, like Narcle stated on the first page… And [-jesus-] also just confirmed it…
Ofcourse certain advertising is allowed, but it is generally accepted that you ask permission to do so.

In addition, I think you are being a hothead. If someone infracts you for not obeying to a rule, why not just listen to him rather than challenge Ruroken more?

I removed two of the three infractions.

Ruroken has admitted he may have given one infraction too many, but on the other side, you could have just taken it a bit lighter.

Yes it is settled but he did not admit his faults until 3 infractions later… I still strongly believe his ability to give people infractions should be taken away for starting this mess although I do agree with keeping 1 of my infractions out of the 3 he gave me.
