Finding the GangPlank

Yep. I need someway to go accross the gangplank. I currently have four brainwaves, and that are.

1. Use a blindclick, since the character always appears in the same place after boarding the ship. It wouldn't work the other way though, so I much prefer not to use this method.

2. MiddleTPA the black surrounding the mainscreen, then do a spiralmouse from the middle.

3. Try and look for the railing by checking the small squares underneath, and see where the squares break. Or just middletpa the squares. (Probably out of my capabilities, but..)

4. Get all the brown in the top half of the MS, then middletpa it. Should land up on the gangplank.

How should I go about doing this?

The charachter appears at the same place every time = you win.
Restrict the search area to a box 10-20 pixels around the gangplank.
Also, using different colorspaces (RGB/HSL/XYZ) to complare colors would improve your result. And while you're at it, use a lot of randomness on the click.

I had a DTM for the gangplank once, worked fine. Just add some tolerance and area to your DTM, might work.

pick a good point on the ms that's where the gangplank usually it, then just use findColorSpiral :D

add some randomness though
