No

Please write down a paragraph about Yourself.

I've been around these forums for a while, basically since I figured out that Runescape didn't have to be really hard =] … I fiddled around with scripting but never really got into it.
Having done a lot of PHP work (for money) I realized that I like coding, programming, etc - and thus that I'd like SCAR scripting - it also has the added benefit of getting XP and money…

As like most people on this board, I'm still in high school, and like playing Runescape in small amounts (mostly running scripts.)

That's about it, I have attached a simple Barbarian Outpost Willow cutter (have not tested extensively, but went through a few runs pretty well. Includes AntiRandom, AntiBan, multiplayers, the usual stuff.

yay, its not a powerchopper! Yes from me…

TravisV10

2008-10-14 21:44:01

No.

No DDTMs and other stuffz.

Good luck on your next app! (if you don't get in on this one)

I said yes. The script looks pretty good, and I didn't see any problems with the script and attitude doesn't seem to bad.

As a note, DDTMS aren't a requirement for someone to get in.

DDTMs are an advanced scripting techniques that I think someone should know before they get into SRL Members. Just my opinion.

Yes, but they aren't the only scripting technique. Some scripts don't require DDTMs to be good. A good programmer doesn't just put functions in because convention says those functions are good or needed.

DDTMs are trivial to learn, The presence of a DDTM should help someone get in, but the absence of one shouldn't prevent someone from getting in.

As I see it, attitude, standards, and quality of script are all pretty good.

Agreed. I didn't learn DDTMs for along time until after I was a member. Yup

Yes.. and grats on membership soon ^^

Btw, Bord2Code, This goes by activity and such aswell and you can't make up your own stuff he should know to get in. I don't know DDTMs Never used them, but why the **** am i member then? :)

2008-10-15 02:02:07

Yeah :)

Naum

2008-10-15 02:54:47

Yes, because you made alot of useful functions for masterkill and me.

Daniel

2008-10-15 05:20:16

No. Your standards are improper, it appears you only use fail-safes little. You use TPointArrays, but just because they're there (not using them properly). Some functions and procedures you have, are useless, e.g:
function TPC(TP : TPoint):integer;
begin
Result := GetColor(TP.x, TP.y);
end;

Better luck with the voting ;) Also, you left your username and password in there ;)

Thanks for the catch, Dan. Hopefully I can trust the rest of you all to not steal my account :) Yeah, I messed around with using that function a bit, but decided that iterative mousing/UpText finding worked better.

P.S. Thanks everyone for voting :)

ok seems like u have the attitude for being a member and ur script is ok but still u need to work on ur standards but still its a yes from me good luck!

Laur€ns

2008-10-15 09:37:56

*looks at TheChineseMans app* you should work on your standards too tbh ;)
Yours aren't 100% either.

ya but still that was like 2 weeks ago got it better now learnt a thing or 2 about standards…

2008-10-15 11:05:23

Thanks for the comments, guys.
A few of you have mentioned standards - what is it exactly that I've done wrong? (If tabbing is one of them, then that's my bad - I'm used to using languages where you use the 'tab' key for each nested level).

Yah from me too. :) Good work.

Raskolnikov

2008-10-16 15:34:07

well this is hard

DTMs - yes
standards - slight fail
object finding - yes

Well, I have to say yes, good luck

2008-10-16 23:10:44

I'm not sure why you have so many 'yes' votes…the SRL Members are probably feeling generous.

I'm voting no. There have been better applications than this that haven't gotten in. And I hope no-one asks me to find one of those better applications, I won't waste my time proving myself.

Lol at standards quite odd. Lol btw a tip:
function PlayerReady : boolean;
begin
if(FindAxe)then
begin
Writeln('Axe found.');
Result := True;
end else
begin
Writeln('No axe.');
NextPlayer(false);
Result := false;
Exit;
end;
end;
Can be simplfied:
function PlayerReady : boolean;
begin
Result := FindAxe;
If not (Result) then
begin
Writeln('No axe.');
NextPlayer(false);
Exit;
end else
Writeln('Axe found.');
end;
Yes from me.

I think he learned the lesson about [correct] SCAR standards already :p

You are a great & helpful guy with cool attitude + you have been contributing SRL with your own ways for a "while" already (I especially like the tools/utilities you have created with SCAR - there is never too many tools around!), so in my opinion you definitely deserve to get in SRL-members.. Which means, I voted yes.

:D
