I'm not sure if this is a runescape problem or a smart problem. I have heard some other people complain about this too though. I just got back into srl scripting and I downloaded the new smart and reflection ect… And smart constantly disconnects. It usually happens within a certain area of the map too. I was just wondering whether it is a smart problem, and if so when / how will it be fixed, or if its a runescape problem.

It's a Runescape problem.
I'm not sure if they have done it purposely or not. I haven't noticed it running forefeathers with 2 accounts, but if I run with 1 account it freezes, so I'm not sure if anything affects it, or not and they just changed it after I started running 2 players (they did an update that night and didn't have a mention of any update) I also haven't ran 1 account since, so I don't know :p.
A person on irc said switching to signed helped their problem (not sure if it works for everyone), but its up to you if you want to take the risk.
Other than that, all I know is that its very annoying. :p

yes it is very annoying
im thinking of making a procedure that if it finds the disconnection bitmap, it waits and then logs in again. but u would have to call it basically every line. So that doesn't really work.

For me it just stays at 0% and doesn't disconnect but just freezes like that. You can reload the client by just calling SetupSmart again (if your using SMART) but that would eat away your memory so it wouldn't be worth it over time.
If you don't use SMART another possibility that I just thought of would be hitting the refresh button?
Hopefully someone will come up with a way around this (with SMART). Or maybe Jagex just made a mistake and will fix it.

ya hopefully it will just be fixed with a smart update.

Lowering that bar on the right-hand side fixed my problem. I had the same thing as Iron Man.

okay i'll try lowering the bar and see what happens
EDIT: So far I haven't really had any problems. But i'm just wondering… What is that bar supposed to do?
EDIT EDIT: So apparently it is for setting the frame rate, and when lowering the bar, it lowers the amount of memory smart must use to run.
EDIT EDIT EDIT: so ya smart is starting to do the thing again even with the bar down.
