Before i came to SRL i could barely even run a script, but look i actually made one thanks to EVERYONE who wrote those amazing guides. I am going to school for Computer Programming on October 17th, i am going to try and double major in Information Tech.

I am currently i think the only Mod on BlackScape, I was a polevaulter in highschool, 11'6", yeah beat that :p.

I am a very quick learner but still a newb when it comes to scar i can write scripts, but not ones that come close to what some of the people here can. I really think that it is amazing how you guys can do stuff like that it really intrigues me to want to learn as much as i possibly and as quickly as i possible can lol.

er i cant vote, but sorry dude this is just too simple of a script. For a script to be accepted, you atleast ened to have walking in it, aswell as good autocoloring, and complicated procedures. Your standards a a bit funky too. And er, you dont even have a declare players, you need an advanced script to become a member, and this script is just a bit too simple, sorry.

im not saying your not good, im saying that a script should have waling included. And dont feel bad about not making it on your first attempt, it took me 3 tries. If youd like some pointers or help, just pm and ill gladly give you more indepth feedback and help. Sorry to come off sounding harsh,

It's a very simple script… Read some more tutorials and practice. And if this script took you forever, you definitely need practice…

Well i might have been over exaggerating a little how long should a decent script take for a new scripter to make?

Hours? Days? Weeks?

How long did some of you guys scripts take, well how long did it take to make the one that got you into Members.

So i know approximately how long i should spend.

I'm better with numbers, and if i can compare this to a school subject it would be close to English or a foreign language which i was never good at.

So please be gentle with your posts.

well my first time i tried i did it with a smelter and i didnt get it… well that script took me about 1 month to make (thats when i didnt know much) i though i could just rush it through but u really cant… you have to take your time to learn how to script… anyways the script that got me in took about 2 weeks to make and that was after i read alot of tuts…

Try to include (D)DTMs, walking (Radial?), TPAs or something like that. But NO reflection, that won't get you in.

You seem like a nice guy who wants to become a member really bad, but this just wont cut it =/ my first script (the same one i applied with) i worked on for, 2 months and finally applied, and denied then two weeks later i applied again and got in. So dont be discouraged, there is always another time :D

Are you sure you're not using an outdated SRL/SCAR? GetTab?, clickRbox?, IsTextUpIn?, Click?, Dead? (in If(Dead)Then Logout;.), Run(true)?, Walk?, IsTextUpInColor?, StandStillFor?, 'Lamp(LampSkill)'?, LogIntoRS?, ClickColor?, IsTextUp?, TClick?, you haven't declared a bunch of variables, GetColors?, SetVBright?, and InventoryCount?


Or am I missing something O_o

yeah i noticed that it's pretty weird but anyway it's a no from me reasons stated^ gl on your next try btw i got in on a script i made in a month working on it on and off
