SCAR Divi 3.20 Poll

It's been quite a while since the last SCAR release, unfortunately it will be a while before I can finish SCAR 3.20, this is due to several things, school amongst others… I don't have the time to be constantly working on SCAR, I try to work on it as much as I can, made a whole heap of progress today, but it won't suffice to finish it this month. However, I can finish it sooner… The thing that will take up most time is the integration of ACA, which I've finished for only a part so far, unfortunately the hardest part is yet to come… If I move the ACA integration up to SCAR 3.21, I can finish 3.20 soon. I'm fairly confident that there aren't any big bugs left in SCAR 3.20, though I've had little or no feedback from any of the beta testers lately. The changelog for SCAR 3.20 already counts 72 items, making it, so far the second largest update ever. I still have some work left to do though… I'll leave the decision up to you guys.

Take your time Freddy, we would like SCAR to work rather than it to be rushed and it suck (It never does :D). I vote whichever one that works and is good for Freddy.

Absolute yes from me.
Although ACA is a good tool, it is still far from needed in SCAR as for now.
I do have to admit that an implemented ACA would be NICE, but absolutely not a first-priority thing.
And, YES; I cannot wait to see 3.20.

i say put it in 3.21
ACA isnt a tool that is needed
it can still be used even if it isnt integrated into scar

I don't think it's needed in the first place. So, yes.

I voted yes but I meant no. Lol. So subtract 1 yes and add 1 no. :D
Doesn't matter take your time, SCAR still works pefectly. We arent dying here atm. :)

Does it really matter? Either way it's going to take the same time before you finish the integration, the only difference will be raising the version number or not. So I don't really care.

The difference will be whether we see 3.20 any time soon or not.

I'm still processing bug reports, suggested features and some planned features…
Meh, In my view I'm not usually a person who cares about new stuff, just along as it works.
But Don't get me wrong, your an excellent person and keep up your phenominal work on SCAR!

Freddy you seem to be leaning towards leaving ACA out for this release so just do that.

I assume by "baubles" you mean the alerts? Yes, they're part of the $129 component set that is shown as completed on the donations page. SCAR 3.20 also features many more components from this set, like new tabs and such…

ACA is convenient but if your already almost done w/o implementing it. I'd push for a release w/o it. ACA as an extra exe works fine for now.
Soon as I start selling WoW gold and get money back into paypal (I'm at $2 with no bank account attached anymore) I'll donate.

Take your time Freddy. If you can't fit it in this release, the don't worry about it. Having ACA by itself won't kill us.

Freddy1990, Can you explain to me about the donating thing. We donate 5 dollars, you get it rite in your bank account? Also, the alert option, that came with the component cant it be used for unsolvable anti randoms into srl. Just have a sound go of and have the script stop, with a boolean for Set Alert off.
Also can you explain when you buy components, Do they send you code?
-Cnr
Those questions were curiosity.

If you donate, it ends up in my paypal account which I use to pay for components. When I buy components, in most cases they give me the source, yea… And the alerts don't come with a sound atm, though they do support sounds, I might add it as an option or wait with it till SCAR 3.21

ah i was wondering if you were using the same ones as in Caderno ;).
i <3 you for the nifty addition to the function list :)
Not changing the icons like in Caderno?

Def move it to 3.21.
Better to isolate large updates like that, gives quicker updates & more bugtesting in between.
Are you porting to C++ or keeping it delphi and just integrating it?

Caderno is a completely different program, so no, I won't be using the same icons, they stay, I might update one or two, but that's it…

I heard you'd ported a bunch of SCAR's procedures to C++ for the speed advantage…I guess that's untrue?

SCAR looks very awesome. I can't wait. I say don't integrate until 3.21, no need to put it in right now.

That's very untrue, aside from the fact that they would get slower, I don't see how I would do that… I could only crosscompile SCAR with borland c++ builder then and that would clow the functions down even more…

Or you could write them in a C/C++ plugin.

I don't like dlls, they're a mess… And they'd still be slower…
