I just got a combat level 100 and something account, for free. Some guy was saying that he didn't want his account anymore, and that he was going to spell his password backwards. He did, and now it's mine! Haha!

Some guy in clan chat said there was 23k of yew being dropped in the party room. I went, but I missed it. I went to the bank, and this is what happened!

Lol thats some serious work hes put into it just be careful on recov's etc..

I've changed the password and recoveries, but he's got a PIN, but he's already set it to delete. I think I hit a bit of luck…:D

NICE i got a lvl 98 for free from my pin seller it was cool, so i got it a pin XD, its better than my main o_o, but congrats, be careful about it getting recovered though :D

Damn it! Hopefully they won't realise. If they do, what punishment will I get?

On another note, if I were to sell this, how much do you think I would get for it? I don't know what items it's got, because I can't get into the bank at the moment, but I will in 3 days.

I'm thinking of what I can do so that he can't recover it, but can someone list the things that I need to look into so that it's basically impossible to recover, please?

Get it membership and he cannot recover, at least you can recover back if he ever does :D

Hmm…I'll consider getting membership on it. How doe this stop him from recovering it?

Also, I just logged in on it, and I had two new messages. It looks like this guy tried to get himself banned in January; he claimed to trim armour, was advertising, and used offensive language. But the new messages were that I'm now muted for one day, because a moderator saw the guy saying that he was giving the account away. But I'm not bothered, because the account is still in the Green Zone.

You really cant keep him from recovering it… especially if it has had a membership, so… yeah…

If I were you, I'd set really hard recovery questions, then go about changing your pass over and over again.

All you can do really…

@Pur3 : Maybe he just did it to waste my time. There are people out there that do this. They make you think you've struck gold, then they change it all back.

he wouldn't do something like that then recover (although i did) but yeah he wouldn't leae ahrims out for you :P

The guy's not wearing Ahrim's in the picture :rolleyes: It's just the standard clothes that the guy was given. But I'll be able to see if he has Ahrim's or not on Sunday, when the Bank PIN is removed. :D

He would give the account to some unsuspecting person, give 'em some time to level the account up a bit, then take it back

If you strongly think he's going to take it back before your q's get set, have a gigunda drop party with all his expensive stuff. You can use the lvls to get rich l8r if you still have it.

Sounds all good but I know there used to be a popular scam that people would give away their account to someone with a worse account and then the person would transfer their items over and make it their main, the scammer would recover and then have a nice bit of profit waiting for him.

I would wait to see what is in the account, if there are good items in the bank account then it is fair to say he is giving it away for good.

I just hope there is some good stuff, and that he doesn't recover. I'm going to wait for tomorrow, and see whether I'm going to sell the account, or keep it.

The bank PIN is being removed in 29 hours, a bit longer then I expected, but I'll post what it has when it is removed.

Oldest scam in the book. Give acc for free, recover after like 10 days so the person who got it has put work and items etc. on it.

He'll wait for you to train up and get some cash, then recover it back with the members details and walk off with a nice profit.

Because you grab it and put stuff on it (since high level), and he takes it back.

Wow R1ch nice job. Make sure jagex doesn't ban the account. And if he really wanted it back he could recover it using the ip and all sorts of other information. Anyways nice.

Transfer his items to your main through BH, just in case. Buy him members, use credit card.
