Fishing… WC is so lame, everyone does it, the prices are so low because 80% of all rs players WC and sell for minimum price on ge. Fishing is way more entertaining and valuable. (Especially if your catching lobbies and swordies)

Personaly i would pick fishing because usualy to many people at trees.. and then you have to be looking for a good world such a pain…

WC, faster to lvl up and fishing is so boring…… in wc u get to fight, pick up nests and run away from ents…. and its easier to auto i tihnk =P

Once your a high lvl: Fishing
When you are 30-60: Woodcutting

Personally, I think higher leveled f2p woodcut is more rewarding with the price of yews, and with f2p fishing your limited to lobsters and swordfish which can only be caught at Musa point. That makes it take longer to bank, and make money.

P2P, on the other hand, I haven't had as much experience in, but fishing might start to be a better/ equal option.

Overall, I would say about

Fishing: 30%
Woodcutting: 70%

i like wcin more cuz i also like to fletch but fishin pretty good and it helps if u need something to cook too ^_^

In F2P I would say woodcutting and P2P fishing.

woodcutting is less boring but with the pvp servers fishing is making a comeback

I think fishing is the best because you can use the fish for food which I think is the most important thing in the game.

wc definitly. i had two pures, both wc and fisher. i fished till like 65 and got realllllllly bored. i had fished lobs, swordies and ended up doing salmon and trout..thats how bored i got. eventually i started a wcer pure and went to 80 something wc. much more fun

P2p: Fishing all the way, at fishing guild the money is amazing, plus the amount of people fishing does not affect you

It depends on what you want you want to do with the skills…

Fishing used for food as well as having a high position in the RS market
Woodcutting used for flectching, firemaking, alching and sales

But I personally prefer fishing

Fishing is less boring and with the PvP update the raws/cooked fish are selling for alot. Woodcutting is a bit boring and the logs (not including Magics) sell for absolutely nothing. And magics require like 75(?) woodcutting so goodluck getting there and then finally making money.

They have the adventure ring now to speed it up for fishing.

Woodcutting: 20% (Cause if there is alot of people then trees get chopped down very fast, very hard to get logs)
Fishing: 80% (Can share same fishing spot without it going away :D)

i say fishing since i can do it unattentively whereas in wc i have to click a new tree fairly often. Also the new pvp update has made fish prices go up

The only reason why, is because i like fishing, comes out to be much more rewarding over wc.

Woodcutting wins 100% here. Fishing in free to play is horrible as the most expensive fish is only 30 minutes away from the bank. Woodcutting is really easy to level and make money at the same time by chopping yews. Even in pay to play woodcutting still beats fishing because of magics! Woodcutting wins Period.

No it isn't "miles" away to bank if you train Fishing , only if you are a (free player) but for members ( Catherby or Fishing Guild nearly Camelot )

Well I like WC more but I see a lot of people with party hats that are wearing fishing skill capes.
If your F2P then WC P2P would probably be fishing.
Fishing is also good because you don't got to buy a 1.6m axe to keep up with everyone else.

Logs are worthless? Try cutting yews at level 70 at edgevill for a night and then talk.

woodcutting: 30%(it may be a lot less profitable but then again a lot of the compition is cut down ………so it's not a completly worthless skill to train)

Woodcutting is so slow Imo. I've never been able to do Woodcutting myself. I hate that skill..

fishing is can get long yes but its not as packed!
Woodcuting we'll it can be better cash then fishing. Even if you got 99 fishing or 99 wood cutting you prob will make more cash with wc. mage logs sell for

Fishing, personally, because it's so easy, and you can even do it passively. And… I don't like doing woodcutting because I am "compelled" to fm them when I'm doing teaks in Karamja.

WC in F2P because it is the easiest thing to auto ever.

Yew log - ~450 per

Monkfish - From level 62 to 99 - 105,839 fish
Yew logs - From level 60 to 99 - 73,000 logs

$33,868,480 profit for monkfish
$32,850,000 profit for yew logs

If you wanted to get to 99 in either skill by going with monkfish and yew logs (which would be EXTREMELY SLOW at first), you would pretty much make the same profit. But… monkfish are easier to catch AND less crowded. I would think that yews are easier to auto because yew trees dont move around like fishing spots do but I'm a noob at scripting so what would I know??? :confused:

An easy economic solution! Go to the freaking "What's the best skill thread" and see if fishing or woodcutting got more votes.

Well it depends… If you're f2p then WCing is by far the best in my opinion, but if you're p2p then fishing owns

Fishing feels like more an accomplishment when you get to 99, but 99 is faster money with f2p, so its pretty equal, both great skills and worth the train

Personally, i prefer woodcutting to fishing because you can fletch the logs you cut. When you cook fish you decrease the value of them.

fishing if you're a member and if you don't have a high level woodcutting cause there isn't competition for the fishes and normally you will be out cut at yews :/

I would say Fishing in both F2p and P2p because it is way more rewarding and alot more fun.

I think woodcutting is better than fishing, because faster exp, great for making money, better skillcape emote.
