It is basically agreed that Jagex does investigation, so lets say that a staff member of jagex is going to do a black market trade for research, do you think they would insta-ban the person or follow through with the trade, or maybe even scam? Personally i think it would be insta-ban and semi-scam…

Trusting jagex is like betting all your money that reptiles fly.

I personally think they would follow through, the later (Like a month or four down the track) ban the person.

do you think (100% sure jagex would NOT do this) jagex would open up there own money shop where you can buy from them? or just make it a trick and be like "HA buying money for runescape is AGAINST THE RULES n00b!" that would be pretty funny.

I think if you're a member, you're less likely to get banned regardless of if they have proof of your cheating or not.

I agree with sirlaughsalot. They are a legitimate company, and aren't "out to get you" just because they feel like it.

It seems to be the general opinion that Jagex is full of a bunch of jerks that hate the world. Obviously this isn't true… I think people fail to take into account that these are normal people running the company.

I think if they would do that, the one who got banned could sue them.

Similar case is going on in Finland at drug police, they are being accused of not being fair to our poor, misunderstood, sensitive drug dealers >.>

jagex ppl really only care about gettin their paycheck not rs money. maybe some of em play but most care bout other things.

really i just think they are a bunch of pricks, why does it matter if people make money off of the game? if they never changed anything they would have 3 times the members

If jagex is money hungary, they can open up rwt shops, and ban people too.

Lol. Jagex fails, pvp sort of fails imo and this thread has a point, except that we know that Jagex is a corporation, so they wouldn't take any risks that could hurt their business. They would allow rwt, except that the parents would be like, "This teaches my children to get addicted and pay money to get ahead, lets try Club Penguin son!"

well, i kinda now they wouldnt ban because, on sythe i always go there and do black market trades and well, this guy has a email address from Runescape.com and him and i always do trades. hes a mod and he trades with me, im still not banned, maybe hes a trustworthy mod or mayby its just where he knows me, either or he could have banned me if he wanted.

I think they wouldn't waste time, they would either take your name down to do a mass ban or get you outta there instantly.

It'd be fun being a jagex mod waiting for somebody to surprise them though.

I do not think they would go through with the trade, and for them, scamming would be illegal in this sense, they would probably stop the trade, inform you of their position, and IP ban you, or send you some kind of legal notice. :S

congrats, jagex still cares about it's members, and not nonmembers, in that sense….members dont get banned much, dumb money
