Death's Actor

Anyone who thinks they know me are wrong,
At ideas of my nature I laugh,
In costume everywhere makes the day long,
My character is not on my behalf.

Inhuman is laying beneath this mask,
Cold, emotionless, lacking conscience,
Is humanity emotions or task,
Or is the mask we wear from early since.

Truly what makes us human are actions,
Helping me my dark secret's not at all,
Through smooth flesh sharp blades slice in fractions,
Inhumanity killing at a crawl.

Skeleton in the closet is rage pure,
As the death toll rises higher for sure.

No, it's a poem in the form of a sonnet. I do have good jokes if you're interested though.
