i know there is alot of people curious and have never played runescape and jagex has pretty much done everything to take classic down so i am going to bring it back lol now i need co-coders so post if interested,.

i cant code but when you need some testers Pm me.

You should beg Timer. He knows java, and he tells me he's a master at it. Catch him on IM or MSN or something.

He doesnt write his own servers he uses others hese not that much of a Java Coder……

Being able to write your own servers isn't as much of knowing java as knowing the Runescape client…

ok well im changeing things around now =] i got it working just not public yet

tbh you can do it alone, isnt hard i heard.

i just need a co coder i can do the rest my self just the code is a lot of work

Hey, I would recommend using this: http://www.moparscape.org/smf/index.php

They'll teach you how to set up your own, but I would reccommend you to know some port forwarding before that unless if you were to run it off a real web server.

classic runs sttr8 out of mysql and xxamp so yea lol really no need to portforward u jut gota download the client

You still download it with webhost, into your temp Internet Files.

yea I agree timer does say he is the best at it or so I was told by my friends who are members and developers.

There are some nice server sources on the internet. Google…

Also, I'll surely play on it, just keep it away from sythe (aka. don't post ads about your server there), else you'll just get DOS'd by some admin of another server and you'll DOS his server in revenge and so on… Pretty much the RSC private server scene there atm.

Jagex cant sue anybody because of there servers. why? Its because us coders made them. The client is another issue. We steal the client off rs and deob and decompile. But as long as you dont have a webclient then your all set.


But the server is completely player made.

How much classic are you going to have. Is it going to be the current classic or the cool classic way back when there was bloodrune?

Could you make a webclient? i cant dl anythin because of my parents. It sucks, yea i know, but i really want to play the classic RS. :redface:

Yes, i'd love to help, i have a few coder friends added they could give you a hand if you needed, infact i've got the owner of the-pkz added "Sam" and i've coded a few severs in my time.
