Note: I made this tutorial because of Jethr0x having this problem. Now onto the tutorial.

Before you try the other Options, please attempt the first issue listed (System Cache), it is the most common reason for this occurance, so it probably will fix the issue

NOTE: Close all SMART and SCAR Scripts before attempting these Resolutions.

Also: If you could provide feedback that would be just wonderful!
:)

What is Going Wrong?
Glad you asked, well… It could be a number of things that is causing this issue, I will name a couple.
 • ((This will more than likely work, try it)) RuneScape/System Cache - This is caused because of something to do with the RuneScape Cache files. Most common and Easy way to Fix, most of the times solves to issue.
 • Unsigned Client - Causes a occasional freeze. Happens when SMART tries to connect to the Login Server and Database of Runescape.
 • FireWall Issues - Either you have not set SCAR to allow SMART and SCAR itself to run without getting blocked; or, your FireWall refuses to allow SMART to connect properly.
 • Re-Install Files - Sometimes issues occur if Files related to the SCRIPT, SCAR, and/or SMART is causing the problems.

Yea yea… Thats all great but, HOW do I fix it?

 • System Cache - Delete your Cache on your computer. (Asuming you use FireFox) Open your browser and click the Tools tab then click the "Clear Private Data…" and press the Button on the popup to remove the data. There your cache should be deleted. Now try and open back up SCAR and run the script!
 • Unsigned Client - Well you have 2 Options:
 •
1.) Run SMART as a Signed Client (Not reccomended) OR 2.) Simply try again until it works, or if that fails to work, always try the "dreaded" Computer Reboot.
• FireWall Issues - Once again, you have 2 Options:
 •
1.) [[Do this before trying Option 2]] Open up SCAR and Under the "Tools" Tab there is "Options…", Click it. Now check that it has been bubbled to "Allow All" for all FireWall-related Tabs.

2.) Simply Disable ALL FireWalls when ever you plan on running SMART with SCAR.
• Re-Install Files - Try to reinstall your Files such as: SCAR, SMART .dll's, and/or SCRIPT.
 • Or Update your Java and replace the .dll's in the Plugins folder with ones you know are correct.

If you have tried all the options listed here then either reply to the thread or Post a new Thread in the "Questions and Answers" Section.

Hope this Helped,
Emerica

I had trouble with this when I first tried a SMART script found the jagex_cache_32 trick in a thread on these forums and it worked a charm. Good tutorial, thanks for it!
