why did runescape take out the following:

-PKING/WILD
-DUEL ARENA(STAKING)
-UNBALANCE TRADE
-MERCHANTING

WE KNOW ALL THE ANSWER: RWT.

but lets see here, runescape was having more memberz than EVER! now they have lost more than 40% than there players.
it was helping them make money, by p2p. ofc now they lost money, and are dissapointed , thats why so many updates since these 6-8 months.
-graphics
-clan wars
-bh-phail
-grand exchange

-AND MUCH MORE-

was it a law issue?
or
was it of the scams?

they gayified runescape, the only reason im still playing is because i can auto so technically im not playing, but when they bring wildy back i will be ready and if they dont i sell my characters..win win situation for me lol. they did it because of RWT ruining the in game economy or atleast i think so

Runescape has always been a good reflection of a real life society/economy.

It also reflects what is slowly happening to the US. Thanks to liberalism America is becoming socialistic. Runescape is the prime example of things work better when there is a free market. The socialistic govt stops free market and controls it causing it to fail, exactly like what happened in RS and what is happening thanks to liberals.

If someone wants to debate it I will gladly type up a 5 page essay on the common sense that people don't see.

I gave up on RS many years ago, but its still a perfect example of how socialism doesn't work. (Yes Obama is a socialist)

Jagex is trying to make runescape a dictatorship. They say jump we say how high. The entire concept of a free market where can learn and achieve to your own acomplishnent is gone!

Runescape is veering very close to offcially becoming a Ruinedscape

They only lost 60k members, and are at something like 1,4million right now (they were 1 million just before update).

duh coz of people like us botting the fuck out of it!

dude markus if you go to rs right now, evn in usa day time there are worlds with only 100-300 players… this use to never happen , it was only at night time in usa, and there was around still 200-400 players in those worlds.

Joker is right there, they have lost many many members. Quite a few played to have main and pkers accounts. tbh a main alone is boring there is no fun and excitement with just simming away and reaping no big reward.

The wildy was a massive part of my game playing, I worked hard on a main transferred to my pker and enjoyed! Now I can do f**k all to put it plainly.

Why do you always make topic names with such irrelevant names to the topic? "Why Did Runescape?" is a very poor topic name in my opinion :<

Anyways..RuneScape just needs more people because they want money.

But i think he is right, but he didnt answer the question… There are many reasons why Jagex got rid of all the good stuff, i think it was RWT, how much money people were making off scamming, and to have more control over their game

Well i honestly think they just wanted to change it around a little bit or they just wanted to be mean and make it hard to trade.

Runescape will get a bashing as soon as they bring in the wilderness worlds. So many pkers will not be able to trade stuff over and if they do implement a system boy are people going to abuse it!!

and btw i heard it was all cause the credit card sewing jagex.

Its just not a game anymore now that Jagex controls everything! I thought it was cool seeing all of those RSDemon bots outsmarting Jagex by sooo much!

If they brought back uneven trade everyone would be soo happy and with the graphics updates they would have more players then ever!

I think they did it because they are too uptight and wanted their rules followed. Also I think it was because autoing was getting WAY out of control. I think a cool thing to do would have been to make autoing worlds so that the autoers could do their thing without getting in the way (hogging all the trees/rocks/flax/monsters) but to do that they would have had to take out the rule against autoing which would have encouraged people to do it which they didn't want.

Jagex allowing autoing would take the fun outta it for me… Thats why i dont really like P servers that much, everything is too easily attained… So imo that woulda been uberfail…

Yea I know, That idea wouldn't have worked out well. But that is sorta just what came to mind.

You fail epically.. If you haven't noticed by now the thread title is so users know exactly what is on the thread before going to it… Your title is basically so people are like "Why did Runescape do what?" Sort of like how people on the Runescape Forums(or they used to) said "Selling…." or "Buying…" and made you click to see what it was.
