Lol.

I basically need a GIMP tutorial that you can recommend.
Yes, I know, I could use Google.

But I'd rather get a community-wide accepted Earth creation with gimp tutorial.

I recommend getting photoshop so you'll actually find tutorials about something.

I'm willing to bet that you, in some way, got it illegally.

[OFF-TOPIC] I cant tell if this is sarcasm or not :p

Just to note, mine was lol. [/OFF-TOPIC]

On topic: Did you try using DrawPlus from Serif?? Any good?

There is absolutely no legal way to get PS for free, except for the 30-day free trial.

And, no. I guarantee you GIMP is better than DrawPlus. GIMP is basically just a "dumbed" PS.

Well it is free is you win in a competition or work for adobe :p

But either way it'd be illegally acquired.

How is a competition illegal? Working for adobe you can easily get free legit copies….

I do know what you mean though lol, around 90% of 'free' copies are illegal :p

ONTopic: For Gimp maybe: http://www.gimp-tutorials.com/ http://gimp-tutorials.net/ http://tutorialblog.org/gimp-tutorials/ http://www.tutorialized.com/tutorials/Gimp/1 http://www.gimptalk.com/ (requires register) http://www.pixel2life.com/tutorials/gimp/ http://gug.sunsite.dk/tutorials/
or something of the sort.
Also youtube might have some nice ones.

Thanks Hugo!

np XD and nice sig ^^

lawl, that sig is excellent. How is the gimp going? I d/l it but just dont seem to be able to get to grips with it like I have with PS.

Anyone know of a good site like imageshak that lets you upload bigger pics? I have a few things to show off but they are all a few megs…

GIMP is amazing.

Here's the sig I made for SOTW this week:

That is slick voice! what pixel ratios you use? I have a few PS montages and images to show off but I make my images very big ie 1600x1200+

That makes my files a few mbs and I dont know a hosting site that lets me upload that big files :(
