Any ideas?

Honestly, I've been gone for a while and I'm curious as to whether or not scripting is still active and whether or not people have any good ideas that they're actually wiling to work on. Do people want to restart an old project, come up with a new one? Who knows…

I'm just looking for ideas for something interesting to do as a group and possibly get some information on how the scripting scene is now.

If you're willing to pull away from RS for a project, I suggest that something like a game or some other "application" could be made. It would, in my opinion, be more fun and interesting, and also require more thought (depending on the project) than a RS script.

Sudoku Solver, no bruteforcing?

Geeze…is that even possible? Applying human logic to a game…sounds impossible.

Maybe a suduku solver may work…. sounds straight forward…

Inter Scar Messaging bot? Where it talks with multiple bots on one computer or even over the internet to do a group project in game? Idk, could be complicated for a MSI project, as in hard to put together.

Otherwise I agree, maybe a script not involving RS?

Nah, would be a waste of time.

Welll as far as RS scripting goes, is it still active at all?
(I liked those ideas they're all pretty sweet, I was thinking like a chess master type of game would be cool to make).

Yes, a chess game would be great. It would probably be pretty hard to make a decent AI though, but I'm up to the challenge.

a scar script that would play chess?

that would be pretty cool.

No, an actual chess game made in SCAR.

SKy Scripter made one when he was a Registered User…

Does it contain an AI? If it does, link me xD.

I don't think he finished it? I'll check it out again.

Edit: Well it works, and it has "AI", but it doesn't really work all that great, honestly.

Chess Game? That's rather simple, especially without AI.

Why not an RPG [not multiplayer] in SCAR, with teamwork, that should be enough challengive too? ;)

I can see chess being interesting but for simplish AI, using a point system would make it easier. I think SCAR Arcade would be better. a bunch of various arcade games, packed into a script using a main menu to navigate.

That would be a cool idea. Maybe have one group work on one game, and another group work on another… I don't know how well it would work out, but it's a nice idea.

Human logic is brute force, so there is no way to solve a soduko without a brute force program

How about a chess game, but you can play with others on scar? a good scripting break :)

Actually, Sudoku solver isnt a bad idea. If you think about it, its just a huge system of linear equations… Anyone know if scar supports matix functions?

I dont think so, ill make one with arrays :)

Bullshit. Human logic isn't brute force. In fact I made a simple sudoku solver just using some common solving technique's.

Brute forcing is EASIER, but it's not the only way to solve.

To a lower scale, Human thinking and logic is tons of tiny firing neurons. As you think, these neurons fire signals that go in different paths. When you think of a solution, your neurons have fired the right path…

…If I remember correctly from 7th grade biology lol (almost 3 years ago, Im a freshman in highschool)
