If I apply for members with a script that contains MOSTLY of reflection, will people vote no just because of reflection…

The idea was never to make it easier for noobies, the idea was to make bigger projects, but it should still require skill.

yes you definately wont get in just ask born2code or seroko (i dont think i spelt his name right soz)
you will have to post a script the if it uses SRL then it will need to be fully backed up by using traditional colour methods ie if u use relfection to walk it needs to have DDTM, radialwalk, etc as failsafes
the main reason that ppl/i do not like reflection in members apps is because it makes scripting alot easier but one main point in my mind is that at the moment it is not officially supported by SRL of therefore using it doesnt show how much the person applying knows how to use the SRL include

If you got a colour script which also utilizes reflection, and can work independently of reflection, I might vote yes, else it's an instant no (for me).

reflection makes scripting to easy also how does makeing a reflection script show that you know anyhting about the SRL include?
i know that u are going to say that if reflection means flawless item pickup. monster finding, walking etc than why shouldnt we use it
the only reason that i can think of is that creating scripts with reflection there is no real challenge as opposed to creating the exact same way only using colour finding making scripting harder….. also if we accecpted member apps using reflection only and voted yes on the fact that the script works well than there would be massive amount of new members and pretty much create another jr member level with ppl posting errors abd not knowing how to script using colour
i hope that answers your why the main reason in my mind is that it doesnt show anyone how well you can script

Okay the first thing that will happen is they will shoot you down for not properly backing up everything with tradional color based functions, meaning you will basically be making two scripts if you plan on using reflection. The reason they claim this has to be is incase the hooks go down, although when they go down 2-3 times a month they are usually back up within the hour, vs if something fails on SRL it drops for day(s). Neither is perfect. So unless you back everything with traditional color finding functions don't dream of using it. They don't care if the script has the ability to get 99 in all functions solve every random and do everything you could ever want with an AI level close to humans, it simply WILL not get you in due to biased members. Not all members are like this, some will see that you know how to script, and increase the ability of what SCAR has to offer as a bot, but those who do will continue to haunt your app restressing how much you fail for not using colors.
Another thing they will shoot you down for reflection being too easy, this also is extremely biased. Reflection requires just as much SCRIPTING knowledge to use as the SRL include, although some could argue it out that reflection makes certain things easier. But what about SRL? SRL makes scripting in scar easier. If you want to hold that arguement then require scripts to be done without any includes to show you know how to use scar.
The application page basically only states it must be an original script, not short, not basic, that shows you understand how to script in scar. This is not the case. The top things they are looking for is the correctness of your program (using things that could be greatly shortened / following scar scripting standards), your use of color based functions, your attitude, and if you used reflection could it be removed and the script still run perfectly.
I have stated slightly rudely, and i apologize for that, that often the members require scripts that is beyond their own scripting knowledge. For example (Not calling you out or saying any names) my script worked 95~% it had a few issues with too many antibans that caused it to mess up occasionally. I kept updating it as needed, ontop of that I had an agility runer, hawk hunter trainer, power cutter all out running decently/good. <- This was a bit before I learned quiet a bit from those helpful members during the app process, now most of my scripts run flawlessly. I was getting shot down by someone who had one script out ~kinda~ the script they used to app with, and after a year they was still modifying it to make it work good enough to use reliably.
Another unpleasant thing you will find happening during the process is you will find three kinds of people during your app. The first those who review your script, looking through it, votes yes or no, and gives you some constuctive critism such as: This function could of been made a little shorter using lowercase(). And those are the good members who help each other and advance the community. The second type is ones that review your script and go on doing their thing not leaving you any comments, although not as helpful this is perfectly fine (Although if they spent the time reviewing your script you would think they would want to comment :p). The third kind is those who instantly vote no because they see something THEY don't like or agree on, post rude comments insulting you as a person, or just no, too simple cause of reflection. Something in that area.
The SRL community is extremely biased against reflection, although they somewhat support scripts reflection based, you will never get to be a members with a reflection based script without COMPLETE backup.
I apologize for my rudeness, I apologize for negativity, but this is my opinion and thoughts on the matter.

Radialwalking :

FindNormalRandoms;
Wait(500 + random(500));
end;
end;
result := true;
debug('Walked the route completely :)', 1);
end;
And this even tinier reflection system:
function WalkIt(Path: TPointArray): Boolean;
var
i, j : integer;
Begin
Result := False;
if (not(loggedin)) then
exit;
j := ClosestTile(Path);
if j = High(Path) then
begin
Result := True;
exit;
end;
for i := j to high(path) do
WalkTile(Path[I], 3, 3);
end;
Look and compare, they both do the same job, but please dont tell me the second one requires more knowledge to make.
