I was watching my guy bot with DraynorAnyChopper (a flawless RSBot script) and I noticed another person replied to "WCing levels?" the same as me.

I just asked r u rsbot and they said "Yes DraynorAnyChopper, you?".

RSBot seems to be reallyyy popular. Does anyone here use it?

It is a leecher's bot..99% of people who use it do not ever code for it. Even Speljohan said it is.

Yeah on the front page it says its free to leech. I would sell the bot if I made it.

No you just have to compile them. They have a nice Script Dump you can use.

ITs good, fast and efficient. But its a leaching bot, theres very few scripters. Community status is poor. It does not hack the client it just reflects. But I still like scar :).

It used to be client hacking right? There was a thread about RSBot and Quarters or whatever his username is said it was client hacking.

It's actually Bytecode hacking.

I went there, learned to script. Then quit. The community is a giant shit hole. I prefer it much more over here :)

Its too bad. It could be a very nice community because of the program.

Meh. The bot is much more detectable however. So it really evens out. You have a much shorter *Bot life*.

IE: My two SCAR armies. One person banned in a full year of autoing.
My 8 RSBot people. All banned in one month.

I trained the combat and such, still followed the "Seven Golden Rules" laid down by.. Someone (Fawki?), and got banned in a month for rsbot. Much more detectable.

SCAR is color. RSBot is/used to be client hacking. The scripts aren't as "human-like" also.

Not 100% sure. Accuracy and speed are probably factors.

NiCbaZ, WTF!? It isn't client hacking, just reading the data sent from the client to the machine. It doesn't hack in any way!

I think bytecode injection is the correct term (if it's not, feel free to let me know). RSBot can then read the values it placed in the client very quickly using accessor methods.

I use it on a pretty regular basis, I have made a Draynor Autoing Mania (DAM) for RSBot. It fishes, mines, woodcuts/firemakes all in draynor. I plan to convert this to SRL with Reflection. I also have a VWM that is pretty basic, I never fully finished it.

The scripts work very good and out of everyone at RSBot community, I really like to use Aelin's Pro series scripts.

I do prefer SCAR/SRL better because the fact that you can auto with an 'army'.

Well, maybe not because your only doing it a little but it doesn't make a difference if they catch you. You still get the same ban.

I have 4 rsbot wcers running. I just walked them all to the grand exchange and bought rune axes :)

WCing IMO is more fun then mining because there are more places to WC. Its muchhhh less profitable though.

yeh, but if u get a real good woodcutter thats always good. mining is mint for cash tho. they have a plank maker as well which is good.

Not going to read the another new pages, so just to make it clear, RSBot is a client hacking bot, it is not a reflection bot.

Sometimes these two are called Reflection and Injection, the latter one being the hacking one. Injection bots inject accessor methods to their RuneScape.jar that they use for the game, when reflection bots usually just read it from the server's RuneScape.jar. i have been using for a couple of hours, im gonna get full void then stop using it.

PROTIP: Randoms cause sudden lag spikes + crashing and scripts tend to be poorly coded, aka. it gets lost, does dumb things or wanders around to some random spot and just stands there until it logs out and then logs back until you stop it.

Also, if there's a pick axe handle nearby it automatically picks it up (or atleast did for me) and gets stuck standing there searching for the head etc. etc. stuff…

Basically it's a good bot but the random event handling and scripts need some work, as the scripts are easy as piss to make (atleast make them do something) so alot of noobs make scripts for it meaning there are many scripts with poor mainloops or so and bad logic so it tends to fail more often than SCAR.

About 90% of the scripts have failed me almost each time I've tried, only the most famous ones work properly for me.

Still a great and fast bot, but nowhere as reliable or undetectable as SCAR (random mess-ups + if it gets lost due to the messing up it'll just keep logging in and waiting until out and repeat that until… false :p And I don't see that undetectable or reliable at all).

E: ROFL at that virus thing. All have been coded in visual basic. RSBot it java.

I think Reflection is a great way for SCAR to keep up with Java bots! It was doing fine of course but reflection and smart helped.

You could bot for a day with a Scar script and banned. Client hacking isn't insta-ban.

Yes, RSBot phales in the scripting category, but really. It's very fast! And there's little to set up.

Once you learn that you can't auto 9 hours straight on the same account, it's fine.

Hint for RSBot users: ONLY auto for the amount of time you would actually play RS.

Okay to finish up my story:

I autoed 4/5 characters to 70+ woodcutting and got banned just for 10 days!

I like rsbot, it's fast and a few of my attempts at scripting with it actually worked really well.

It's just much too detectable.

May RsBot burn in hell and when its at it bring the leechers with them :D.

RSBot is amazing. The people that made it are idiots.

Make something people have to work for. It is like letting a lot of ungreatful little kids steal from your life!

RSBot should NOT burn in hell. I think that client hacking is a lot of fun and the developers work hard.

I think it's a great bot… I've made a decent clay miner for it, which has gotten me free membs :P

RSBot is Java and SCAR is pascal. Verrrry different

RSBot is good… But srl is the best community and in the end, the best autoer around. At the RSBot forums, theres not enough scripts/scripters. And here at srl, mainly everyone scripts =]

Bold Claim :P I think that 50% of active people are members, but only about 15% of people that use scripts (maybe less) are actually active, the rest just eech. I agree though theres more scripters here than at rsbot.

I've botted many accounts with RSBot.. A few up to 60-70 mining, a few to 80 WC,, Mind you this took a long time because I had many 3 10 day bans.

It's a great bot.. Just too detectable.

Not gonna lie I went over there and leeched the heck out of it over the last 2+months. Now yes I did give proggies, report bugs, help people, and whatnot but I didn't attempt to script or really anything else but get a script and go with it lol.

I tested Insania's draynor chopper and got a guy from 1-78 woodcutting in about 2 weeks. And then Aelin's barbarian fisher and got a guy from 1-75 fishing trout in about 3 weeks. Those were test accounts though, I pretty much ran them as much as I could, but just not an extremely too much.

Now on my careful autoers I got one of my main mining autoers from 73-77 mining powermining in the guild. It's been about a month since I last autoed on him and no ban. I also got my whole army from 1-60 woodcutting with Insania's script and the Varrock Oak Chopper.

No bans except the two test accounts to see how high I could get them. Maybe I'm just that lucky? (3garrett3 your air rune maker was pretty much tha bomb like tick tick! I used it on my main to gain a few levels and it was flawless man) Just though I'd tell u that lol.

I personally just started using RSBot and so far it is flawless.
I'm only using it for the sole fact that it has silent mouse (you can run other programs while it is running).
Im using the free auto fisher it comes with and its awesome.

Though i wouldnt recommend using this over scar, for scar scripts are so much more noob friendly and often run a lot smoother and safer.

I used it until RSBot got outdated. Now I just stick to good old S.M.A.R.T.

IMO its alot better then SCAR. I mean it comes with wonderful scripts + more randoms and its less likely to fail while running…I have autoed for about 3+ hours every time i run it…Plus u can run it on more then one acc.

I think the bot is way easier to code. But this is because I am a Java guy :f:

I haven't been banned at all, but that's because I'm running my own script which only goes to the Eye of Newt shop, buys them, then banks um for 60gp profit each Eye Of Newt. I have probably run the script over 5 hours, on random days, in the past weeks. The only thing you need to do with rsbot scripts, is make the walking random. This is mainly because of tile walking. It cant randomize a path, so you need to specify tiles to walk to… this makes the whole script detectable. This is why you must use different tile walking paths, or put random tile declarations in.

But yeah I agree the community sucks. It was funny when I put alot of waits in my script, and this one girl was like… "omgz your gunna make the script detectable if you put in wait time." I just lol-ed my ass off.

Not true. I've botted extremely carefully, and have gotten from 72-79 mining and counting. Been many people achieve 99 firemaking, 99 and combat skills also.

rsbot= fail./… it is good for a week. until u get banned.

I think that rsbot is good for autoing with like 10 lvl 3 noobs but scar is good for autoing with main accounts. Like I do:)

I've used it while, Ive gotten to 99 fletch, 80+ mining, 80+ fishing, 80+ str to my pure.

If you bot carefully, take breaks and so on, ITS JUST AS SAFE AS SCAR.
The fact is that most of people are too eager and overdo it.

No, some of them are currently unsolveable by RSBot also (probably because they don't have the necessary hooks).

Leo, and The school house one are the only i think.

i heard that its rely easy to get banned with but doesnt reflection use a simmilar techniqe does that mean its easier to get banned using it .

i was on their forums and there was a thread how much do u auto and most peopel said 15hrs plus a day i rekon thats why they get banned and they have a lot of skillers as well

I've used RSBot for a while now and I'm atm lvl 98 woodcutting on one account and i have got from 40-70+ hunting on another. I still prefere Scar, it just feels safer in some way.

I've been using rsbot for over a week now and its been working pretty good =S 80-88 mining so far :) hopefully people are wrong and that I won't get banned for using rsbot lol

This sight is just so much better than Scythe or RSBot because of the people. I have browsed A lot of posts in my 3 months of being here and I have never seen one 'Flame War'. But all I have to do is turn to the Black Market section of Scythe and KAPOW! You're flooded with it.

So yeah anyway for that 18+ thing on RSBot I hate it now >:(

This sight is just so much better than Scythe or RSBot because of the people. I have browsed A lot of posts in my 3 months of being here and I have never seen one 'Flame War'. But all I have to do is turn to the Black Market section of Scythe and KAPOW! You're flooded with it.

It is stupid to say that your botting i would never say it to normal rs players.

Rsbot is an great bot but it is more detactable (i think) then scar.

rsbot is very mainstreamish now everyone uses it :/ i see like 10 bots responding with Deviant Woodcutters's auto responder.

I think scar is a lot better and it easy, but rsbot dose have a lot more poeple now

The fact that it's super popular is what makes it bad :[

Any script/bot that gets used for hours on end will be watched/studied by Jagex.. resulting in, well, you know.

It uses Hooks, I find it is easy to script with put it that way buttt remembr all the lvl 3's? with the same names just numbers on there at the end they all used them scripts tbf well most of them did you can tell they all follow the same paths if you watch them closely its always the same point onthere aswell although it does solve the randoms easier. End all is

to be honest, i think the days of client hacking are long gone for people who want to keep their accounts. the detection systems are pretty good nowdays.

I remember back in RSC, people using Autorune to make maxed accounts and rarely getting banned. (apart from the mass bans from time to time)

As you can see, the last post was made at 01-08-2010, 12:18 PM, so this thread died long time ago, please do not post if a thread is old, like this one started at 2008, and ended up 3 years later with someone posting, someone like you(not trying to offend you in any way).

Any mod/admin may please close this thread?
