Thanks for those who gave me feedback, it makes me feel that its worth making this tutorial. :)

If your SMART was working before and isnt working now then this might be your solution.


I have provided 3 Ways to update your World.ini List. (They all have the same outcome, they are just done in different ways)
They are as follows


OPTION 1

Description:
Use FAWG to update the world list so it is more current.

If before your smart was working perfectly and now it is not working, it probably is your worlds.ini outdated. So let's update using FAWG (Freddy1990's Advanced World Generator).

FAWG: http://www.freddy1990.com/fawg.php

Download the FAWG and install.
Run FAWG.exe

The program shows:

"[14:28:14] Starting world retrieval process.
[14:28:16] Retrieved updated worldlist."

Go in Options and Select Activity, click Save.
Now close and run agai the program.

The program shows again:

"[14:28:14] Starting world retrieval process.
[14:28:16] Retrieved updated worldlist."

Now click in the arrow down between "Options" and "Parse Output", select "INI File Parse" and click "Parse Output"


It will shows:
"[14:36:01] Parsed output file using: INI File Parser
[14:36:01] Saved file as: Worlds.ini"

Now close the program, go to the folder "Output" located in "FAWG.exe" folder, copy "Worlds.ini" and paste in …SCAR X.XX\includes\SRL\SCSS replacing your old "Worlds.ini"
Try to run your script. =)

OPTION 2

For those of you that dont have the time to download and go through everything…
I have provided a Text form of the updated world list.
Just remove everything in your current World.ini AND THEN paste this in.


First we must locate your World.ini file if you havent already.


Locate it by:

1. Opening your SCAR Main Folder. (The folder you installed SCAR into)

2. Find the "Includes" Folder and open it

3. Next, Open your "SRL" Folder

4. Then finally Open the "SCSS" Folder

5. Now double click the file called World.ini and a text document should open up… Now to continue…


Its should look something like this:
World.ini Directory EXAMPLE: C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.15\Includes\SRL\SCSS

OPTION 3

Step1: Download the Attachment and Un-Zip/Rar it so you have the new World.ini File
Step2: Go to your SCAR Folder directory and…

1. – Open the Includes Folder.
2. – From there, Open the SRL Folder
3. – Finally, Open the SCSS Folder

Step3: Lastly, you must Copy-and-Paste this newly downloaded World.ini file from the attachment to into the SCSS Folder.

NOTE: Yes, you must Overwrite the old World.ini file and replace it with this one.




To be able to open the attachment you will need WinRAR which is an application the compresses files to lower their storage space and vice versa; there are also other uses.
To get this application go to: rarlab.com

Ahh, this wouldnt help it; this is a SCAR bug that we are dealing with, not SMART.

Well, this Error is commonly coming up in different places and lines in scripts depending what the scripts SRL Version is and the one you have (the errors can vary, most common ones are "Unknown Identifier").

In other words, my best assumption is that your SRL Library is either:
1.) Not up-to-date
Or
2.) Is updated too far.

(Sky Blue will be information about finding Versions)

To find the Versions:

Now to see these two versions you must do the following:

1.) Finding Current SRL Version:
Open SCAR and click the file menu and it should tell you the SRL in the form (( Example: 23 –> 25 ))

The first number should be your current SRL Version and the 2nd is the HIGHEST SRL Version you can receive (we don't need to know the 2nd one, just the 1st).


2.) Finding the SRL Version of the Script:
1. Simply read the thread that the script it is posted in and it should tell you.

2. Check the date that this Script was last updated and compare the date to a close release date of the SRL Versions.


Finally, if those 2 Versions arent the same, then that is more than likely the problem.
NOTE: Scripts with "Reflection" are Generally SRL Rev 20+




If they are both the same then either SCAR Needs to be reinstalled, or one of your SCAR Files are the wrong Rev while the rest are correct.

Or it might simply be that the Script Thread stated the wrong rev.

PS: If you dont know how to update just ask me.

Do you have 100% updated Reflection, because a new Rev just came out. The error might come from out-of-date files ;)

great tut, but when I do the parse output, everything works, but then world.ini isn't in the output folder.

Make sure that you have set the correct settings and have clicked Parse Output (after you have updated the World List).

If for some reason it doesnt work, simply download my provided World.ini file. It is updated and working. :rolleyes:

cuz of the log in update fool… try looking at the dates of the posts above you ;)

I tried fixing it for the update that happened last night, but i failed :(

anyone else care to give it a try?
or fill me in on exactly what to do?

Ben won't update smart, that's the problem, not the worlds file.

I Recopied the World File But it shows a ! instead of a Tick.. Please PM me

yo emercia so does this fix the erro starting smart check world prefix? since benland aint helpin and im not trying to be mean but wish he could fix it :(

it is the worlds rember they have changed the way u log inand add info to some worlds so u can ppl kill we have to work out wht info is needed so it will work again

I have nothing inside the SCSS folder, only and hidden folder which is SVN.
