i think srl should make the rule "no obfuscated scripts" because they could put a hacker in it easily. please and thank yous

and lately theres been password stealing scripts, so you never know stuff can happen.

It is really sad what that we have to be scared of pass stealing scripts, sure it is a real threat, but if you are that concerned about it look at the scripts, and the people who cant tell if it steals your pass, then they should not be here (would cut down on leechers) im not saying that people SHOULD make pass stealing scripts but the threat of it might cut down on leechers :P Obfuscating should be allowed, but possibly if it is obfuscated have somone check it first…

Its really not hard to know if a script is stealing your pass, you can look at if it is sending any info, what that info is, and where to…

if you dont know SOME scripting, just a little, they dont even have to make a script, just read some basic tuts, then i dont think you deserve to use what kind people have volunteered their time and effort to make.

I think it will spur people on a bit to know what to look for at least and maybe get an interest in scripting, it is terrible we have some malicious people but try to make the best out of a bad thing is all im saying…

all u need is common sense just read through the script and if a script needs to connect to the internet look at the page first then look through the script to see what is being sent

You can still see if it connects to the internet or not, and when it asks when you run the script, read where it is asking to connect to.

oh yeah where the firewall settings are, well the leechers/non-scripters dont read that or know what that is lol they be like allow always or w/e lol

If you're afraid of script, when the SCAR firewall comes up, just disallow it and let the script continue ;)

Yes there should be, theres already been hackings from people not noticing certain parts of the code. If it was obfustigated then it would be even easier to hack people

Use scripts at your own risk. Scripters should be able to do whatever they want. Your getting a free script someone spent a lot of time on.

Hmm its usefull for newbies to learn how script by studying other peoples scripts, also if there was a problem with our script no one would be able to see it?

That's up the the person releasing it. If its obfuscated then obviously they won't get help with errors, that's the down fall of obfuscating your own script. There's things that come of it and things that you loose from obfuscating a script.

• You want to learn how to script? 99.9% of the scripts are not obfuscated, look at one of those.
• Still afraid of obfuscated scripts? Don't fricking use them then.
