How the heck is it that you guys rejected and shunned kyab so cruely, and said you would have absolutely no java in this, and suddenly you're building your own reflection add-on? wtf? KYAB was perfectly good, and now its shutdown because of the way you guys attacked it.

Even WT-Fawik made a script for kyab. So all of you who think kyab will never be used by good scripters can think about that for while.

Well Benland put reflection in SMART. I don't know how much influence the other admins/devs have on him and his projects. But I think it was Bens choice in the end.

This is just a guess. Either way, its much more powerful then Kyab and autoing is easier for me. So I hardly care what was in the past, I only care about the now.

Well this is before a lot of your times, but KYAB was at SRL. Suddenly a LOT of people started attacking it because they decided they didn't need java to make great scripts. So they pushed KYAB out of srl, so kyab went to it's own site. But SRL just kept shunning it.

Whats funny is now suddenly SRL is pro java and reflection. SRL is the equivalent to Obama… First anti war, now pro war…

Here's my opinion. SRL first said that they didn't want anything to Java because they didn't know exactly what it was. KYAB came in. They were never "anti-KYAB", only anti-solarwind. solarwind, and his bot got kicked out. Now we have a new reflection source that is 100% Benland, so it's automatically ok.

I don't - hence the "just thought i'd drop that in there" comment attached to that. Maybe you didn't see it?

If i was breaking new ground, I would be like:

OFGGZZZ!!! LOOKZ WHAT I FOUNDZ ON FRONTPAGE!?!?!? WT-FAWKIZ CONTRADICTING HIMSELF1?!? BREAKING NEWZ!

Times change - Jagex effectively killed autoing for profit with armies by removing free-trading, so as autoing shifts towards autoing on a single character/main instead of multiple, scripts need to be much more reliable. Its fine running a slightly buggy script on an army of 6 overnight, as when one character fails theres always another to replace it. This isnt the case when running only 1 character, scripts NEED to be 100% flawless, and SMART with reflection caters for this. Of course its possible to have flawless walking without reflection, and you can continue to strive for this if you like, but reflection makes it much more accessible for the standard scripter - so on the whole you guys should be thanking our decision to release it to all of you and the public instead of criticizing it. Don't use it if you don't want to.

Last time I checked SRL as a community has accepted reflections existence due to Benland adding in the ability to use it in Smart, but the SRL include does not contain any reflection. Simply saying "How can SRL now support reflection, but not KYAB?" is stupid when SRL doesnt - just some of the members, in the same way that KYAB was supported by some members. The difference is, that KYAB was a whole separate thing to SRL - it had no dependencies or need to be part of SRL, but this new reflection does as it strives to be an improvement. It probably will never be part of the main SRL include, but it will probably be here for a long time working next to it. I can't say anything about people attacking KYAB because they were anti-reflection, because I wasn't here at that time, but some people are still anti-reflection now. It is people's attitudes and their opinions to which they are welcome. Generally people have accepted it, because it makes scripting easier, but most SRL Members have accepted it because it can bring their scripts up to the next level, whether it be better walking, or a new possibility that previously couldn't be done at all. If you checked the news when reflection first came out, there was a whole debate about what SRL should do - with the outcome being embrace it as an improvement, but not a dependency. It was agreed that scripts should still be able to run fine without reflection, but should run better with reflection.
Also, Daniel.Blaze, you have 98 posts, of those I have no idea how many have been in the past few days, but if you hate us all so much now, why are you here? Surely if we're all hypocrites and you hate how everything is, you would leave, so what's the point of staying here and trying to make us all angry or upset?

if you don't like it or agree with it then don't use it, it's as SIMPLE as that. I fully don't like to use the reflection part of SMART so I don't. There are individuals who have made the extra include of reflection to incorporate if you choose into your scripts. I personally like the challenge of script with color and that is the way I choose to stay.

So all in all, just ignore the scripts that use it if you don't want it…you've been gone for a LONG time and probably don't know all that has change within runescape, so calm down and its a good thing to have in development right now and will be a great tool if HAVE to have it.

You have to remember that the SRL staff were not the one working on SMART, Benland100 worked on SMART. BenLand100 was not the one who pushed KYAB out of here.

Why not write an email to Andrew Gower explaining the situation? I'm sure he would understand, and would be happy to roll-back all RS's updates which have hurt autoing (read: Updates agaisnt RWT) and made SRL adapt in the past. We would be more than happy to return SRL to a java-free place if that occurs.

This is getting ridiculous.
