Thread costs 4gp each in the shop.
it costs 3gp ea in the g.e.
i cant work out if theres a way to transfer money by this. so any one got any ideas?

Selling the thread to the shop would get you 0 GP.
No, atleast I don't see any possible ways.
Just wait and see how the new promised PVP stuff will be, then try to find weak spots. :)

This was possible like 7 months ago, this was how I traded tbh, but not sure now, give it a try with 5k thread…

There was a way to transfer money through the grand exchange by selling an item for max price with your main, buying the item at max price with your autoer, then re-selling it back to your main at min price.
Since min was 3 and max was 4, you transferred 25% of the value of your stack of thread each time.
Doesn't work anymore, though, since you're limited to purchasing 100 thread at a time.
If you can find any obscure item that you can trade back and forth through the GE at a profit without other players interfering, you can transfer money.

I always wondered how that worked, but yeah they limited the amount you can buy and that really sucks when all I want to do is buy a bunch of d'hide bodies to alch =/
