Why is there so much hate towards reflection?

its too new to trust in my opinion, it just seems too simple to not be detectable.
im waiting for someone to prove me wrong.

Not really, its just most scripters take pride in their 99999999999 line scripts when you could do the same thing with like 500 lines of code..
They think that making 99999999 lines of code is better than 500 even tho the 500 might be just as efficient and also they don't like to mess with the "java" which they still do just by using SMART and such.

you have no clue what your talking about! reflection botting has been around for quite some time now at least 5 years. But it is new to SRL becuase scripters just started using scar to recently (benland with KYAB) Most older srl members dont like reflection thats why benland opened his own forums. There were tons of arguments when benland made KYAB and released it. There will allways be people who dislike reflection botting, and im pretty sure reflection botting is LESS detectable becuase of the ID getting and tile walking… less misclicks etc

OR they like the fact that SCAR is more challenging and in a way advanced and that color finding etc. takes some programming skill and intelligence, when something like
"
ClickNPC(someEnemyEtc.);
while (fightingblabla) do
Wait(100);
if (Distance(tilewherethenubisat) > something) then
walktosomenubbytile(blabla);"
can be made by any retard.

It won't make people dumb, it'll let them learn a newer aspect of scripting.

You call that intelligent?

I think that it makes sense to use reflection as failsafes, but just to write a whole script using reflection is way too easy.

Um…you need to get your history straight. KYAB was made by solarwind, solarwind asked BenLand if he could help him in making the updater and such. KYAB originally started here at SRL in the SRL members forum. The admins and devs, had never really liked solarwind and in my opinion the only reason it was permitted here in the first place was because solarwind was able to slap BenLand100's name on the project. So it went for about 1 month or so (I can't remember exactly). After that I would have to say that it was mainly Wizzup(not blaming you :p) that kicked solarwind out and solarwind made his own community in which many SRL members and Registered Users(as they were called at that time) came to continue to try KYAB. It was soon found out that solarwind was not as competent as he had let people to assume and the bot died out after 6 months or so.

^ More accurate, but still partially wrong. KYAB died due to lack of time, not due to my incompetence. I still maintain an updater of my own.

I call bullshit!
People here are just afraid of change, and apparently want to make their life harder than it already is.
Let's not just go from A to B, instead, lets triangulate our position using specific landmarks on the map, taking into consideration which way we are facing, and the compass angle. Then lets walk to point D, G, E, Y, F, J, H, Q and then finally to B. Why? Cos it looks cooler to have a bigger script with more complicated methods in it.

and RSBot scripting can be made complex if you want it to be. :)
