Well, I've scripted here for a longg time.

But, apparently I'm not a good enough scriptor to hang with you guys.

I'm thinking about quitting SCAR scripting to solely focus on VB scripting.

What do you think?

If you are not good at SCAR, VB is harder to do. Knowing 1 language good before another makes it a lot easier IMO.

Well, I'm good at SCAR..
But, I'm not into RS enough to script..Lol…
I'm quite proficient at VB..Check out my Account Creator in my sig for proof. Lol.

I just think that I'd rather use VB to create programs that help a large quantity of people do something..

C# is pretty close to Java. C++ is close to java but pretty different and C is just another language all together (with similar syntax).

C# is a hybrid of C++ and Java..

If you can't handle the way Scar scripts should be written then I suggest you find another language.
This could also benefit you alot since pascal is kinda old and if you ever want to switch to a more recent language like java.. it takes a while to get used to if you are used to scripting with scar (The problem I am having now) so you could try VB or java and maybe it will work out better..

If this is something you really want, keep working at it. If you put in the time, you will get it eventually. Don't feel bad that you weren't accepted into SRL Members the first time (I wasn't either). The biggest thing is to just keep working hard and improving. Also keep in mind that we're always here to help you if you need assistance.

Lol. I never said I was leaving SRL.

And, Method helped me change my mind. I'm not leaving.

I was about to say "you could always stay as a part of the community". You answered that already it seems.

As for SRL Members, it's just a title (remember that) that represents a decency at SRL/SCAR scripting and access to better Runescape bots made by fellow Members, which imo isn't important, especially if you don't even like Runescape anymore and would rather just code.

Correct me if I'm wrong about membership, though, and if there's more, go ahead and flame me :duh:

Eithen if you quit scar stay at the forums theres plenty of people to help

I want to stop scripting in scar and learn java but i cant find any one to help me from scratch and tuts ust dont wokr for me (the main thing i need is links to whay i need to download)

VB is mainly just a toy. I suggest learning some C based languages instead.

Learn HTML/PhP!

Im glad you decided to stay with SRL, everything takes time :D, I was denied my first time (i have applied recently but i doubt ill fail this one unless im a phailpail)… But just take what they say and learn from it and do your best, imo, everyone has the ability to learn SCAR/SRL, just some dont have the willpower…

The kid changed his mind because someone told him not to give up :rolleyes:

And prior to that, he complained that he'd been scripting for a year and hadn't gotten into Members. That sounds like someone complaining to me. He should note that even though he made this thread, we aren't going to have any leniency on him for his next application ;)

If he is going to leave, so be it. But he said he isn't, so WHY are we all still posting? And not getting accepted into members isn't a very valid excuse to leave anyways.
