New RS Script Signatures - Your Vote

Hello, a friend of mine is making a site like Draynor.net for stats siggies, and they look cool, and the username can be hidden (a feature Draynor.net does not have, which makes them unsafe, as the username is always in the URL!), and is fully safe. So I am posting to ask, when this database complete, how many people here would consider putting the stats images in their signatures?

Please post + vote in the poll.

E: Examples of this :

But instead of saying 'Zezima' it would say your registered forum name, or any name you want to choose.
Ie, it will show the stats for Zezima, but will display 'Hy71194' in the URL link.
To clarify, this is in no way trackable once completed [not 100% yet, therefor it still says Zezima in the link] :) And you can view an example on your name if you want just by editing the URL, but it is NOT safe yet to put into your siggy.

Me as i got good stats!

Perhaps I would.
I don't see how it is hard to hide usernames from signatures though…
You'd need people to add themselves (or auto do it when they first request one) to a Database first. That's all you have to do… :)

tell us how it hides the username please.

Yes, if the URL of the image still contains your RS name despite "hiding" it, I won't use it.

i would be willing to use the signatures

You'd have a very simple database.
One table, containing ID and Username.
If someone asks for a sig, you add his name in the database, and use it's ID to view the image.

Look at Wizzup's post. This is how the guy is doing it. Your RS username will never leave the database, never.

EvilChicken!, why did you vote no? :(

I like this idea.

What would be cool is if we could add our backgrounds too and it would overlay them with the stats icons :)

I might do it if my stats were even worth mentioning :p

Sure, why not. If it's safe, then I can't see a problem with using one.

or you could simple make a encrypt decrypt function in php which decrypts the URL you plug into it: That way the username isn't even stored in a DB

I remember designing something for drunkenoldma but I don't think he got around to it. would you like me to get the image for ya?

I think it was a long time back when he wanted me to draw a guy singing…

But that way it can be cracked, thus revealing the username. :p

yes, but if you use some heavy duty encryption algorithm, chances that it will be are low ;)

Not necessarily ;) If Jagex really wanted to, it could at most take them a few days.

I doubt they'd waste their time and money into solving a name algorithm. After all, I'm sure most of you don't auto (much) on your mains, and I bet they don't view your mains as too much of a threat (compared to our armies).

I'll ask a few people I know who've made save code algorithms if they wouldn't mind lending their code. That is, IF your friend wants it :p

Actually, everyone I know, they only auto on their mains ;)

And no thanks, the database it working out fine, it is mostly working, just adding a small anti-ban stuff, new preview soon ;)

After what I know, you may work for Jagex.

I voted no, because I don't really care about having a picture of my stats in my signature.
