Well, I have to agree with IceFire here. I liked it better when it was sorted by Latest posts on default, that way, the more popular topics have (popularity usually equals quality) a greater chance of being visited, because I know that I don't browse through any section looking at the topics and thinking to myself if it might be worth reading. I'd rather see the threads with more posts on top, so I can just go look at it and say: "Oh yeah, that one has many posts and a good rating, I'll go look at it, maybe I'll learn something new! :D" Now, I know I am excessivly lazy, but I'll bet I am not the only person around on these forums with a medium to bad case of laziness… ;)

Umm maybe if you READ THE INDEX
IT would take what? 30 seconds
Considering they are all grouped and ordered.

The index isn't updated automatically and the tutorial section was perfectly fine the way it was before. Why did you go and mess with it? :(

Me and the staff and some other members have had lengthy discussion about this. This is the new way for Tutorial Island. It is vastly more efficient. The popular opinion is they like it. So please wait till it is done before you criticize my work.

Tutorial Island sections are no longer considered "Grave diggable" by staff.
So if it is a old tutorial, they are free to post on it.
If it is spam… that is a different story.

These tutorials are FOR "NOOBS" are they not?
It is much better when the recent ones are at the top, imagine yourself as a noob trying to learn SCAR, you are best off with it this way, and trust me, we need "noobs" to learn… it's very important, we need new members always…

But they best tutorials are not always on top.
And there are plenty of people who have come here and commented how hard it was to find a tutorial they needed.

Who cares about gravedigging? Big deal! as long as it isn't spam.
And as nieslie said, it's always/already is that way.
"But they best tutorials are not always on top."
Ok, well then with Alpha order even LESS of the best tutorials are at the top.
"And there are plenty of people who have come here and commented how hard it was to find a tutorial they needed."
Well they are idiots and can just use the .Index thread, it's the same amount of work, in fact now it's more since they have to scroll through multiple pages.
Then just have the .index thread linking to every tutorial in alpha order and leave the actual tutorial section recent->least recent.
There is really no need for anything other than the .Index thread Hobbit.
Give me one good reason why the tutorial section is better off with alpha order than Latest order in the actual section tutorial section and not just the Index thread.
It's still a huge inconvenience for everyone to try and find the latest tutorials otherwise, please change it back to the way it was and leave the .Index thread there.
Comon… seriously… I rarely complain about these kinds of things, but this is really that bad.
